BN is already having a sale where a lot of box sets are 40%, even for nonmembers. I bought TMNT Season 4 for $13.65 shipped.
 
Coupon is live online. Only takes 40% off MSRP, not current listed price.
For example, The Wire, Season 5, MSRP 63.99 (???!!?), listed price on site is 44.79, price after code $38.39

May be good for some sets, not so great for others.

Thanks for the heads up, but it only applies to a single box set. I added about 6 to my cart, input the code and "40% Off List Price Any One DVD Boxed Set - Unless Better Online Discount Already Applied" is what popped up.
 
WOW I can't handle Borders.com anymore.

I tried a coupon a while back on Monk/Psych DVD pack and it clearly says ships in 24 hours. 2 weeks later I call and they say it's on backorder and they're going to cancel it in another week. WITHOUT EVER TELLING ME IT'S ON BACKORDER

So I try to order a MST3K box set today with this coupon. Ordered the wrong volume (just got a bunch for my birthday and forgot I had this one) so I call right away to cancel. THEY CAN'T CANCEL ORDERS. How messed up is that!? A basic operation of online ordering - cancel the order - they can't do that. So now I have to wait to receive it and the ship it back.

I know not everyone has these problems but I can't justify ever ordering from Borders.com ever again!

cabal i think the point he is making is that they are going to cancel the item that was going to ship within 24 hours and didnt b/c it is order, but they can't cancel the one he wants them to cancel

Yeah, most of what I want will only come down to Amazon or DeepDiscount prices after the coupon. If anyone sees any real good deals with this coupon, let us know.

That's weird because I placed an order Friday for TMNT and they sent an email and the email says that you can switch or cancel before the thing is shipped.

Of course I go to see my status for the order, they have email and order number or you can log in. I didn't have a BN account because I did it through AAA. So I put in my email and order number and got a message saying I can't find the status because it's against the security way blah blah. Then why the fuck do you have that log in?
 
This must only apply to items that are currently in stock; I added the Ray Harryhausen Blu-Ray box set and it won't change the price from $101.99...oh well. :roll:

Nevermind...I see my problem, I had more than one box set in my cart and the coupon is for:

Exactly, that's a nice little detail they skim over. That's why the order I used to have (which was backordered) took me so long to find out it was backordered. Without signing in BEFORE you buy there is no way to track your order. Their system is just jacked up is all i'm saying

(And cabal I'm sorry I couldn't remember what I got for a birthday present less than a week ago been a busy week)
 
This is not for Rewards Members only, it works for anyone.

And Lost Season 4 becomes almost $10 cheaper than Amazon with this coupon.

Anyone know if Borders Bucks (from e-rewards :) ) will work with this coupon? 40% off and a free $15 sounds nice.

UPDATE: Dammit, it can work but the deposited bucks won't take until October 1. Cross my fingers for another good coupon then.

That seems pretty cheap to me. Some places still have the DVD for $50.

Yup that's what I picked up today, $23.99 + tax. Was eyeballing the Hayao Miyazaki box set, but couldn't find anyone to open and was in a rush for work lunch break.
 
I went with the Blu-ray set of THE OMEN series; got it for just under $80 with tax, which is $10 less than the cheapest online price (at Amazon). Still pisses me off that OMEN IV: THE AWAKENING from the SD-DVD boxed set has been dropped in favor of the remake of the first film that absolutely no one was asking for...

59.99 at buy.com (use a 10dollar coupon) = 49.99+5 shipping = 55shipped......
