COD 4 Xbox 360 noise!!

I bought call of duty 4 yesterday brand new and everytime i play it, the game makes my 360 much louder than usual. Almost like it is constantly loading

does anyone else have this problem? its the game of the year edition if that makes any difference

I get the same thing, but I only hear it when I am playing a game because when I turn on my console its very quiet.
 
It's the disc drive and it's very loud. The next console update will allow you to install to the Hard Drive. Hopefully, that will quiet them down.
 
That's quite a different scenario than mine. When I play COD4, my drive only makes a reading sound every few minutes. It freaked me out at first. I thought I was about to experience another red ring.
 
Mine makes alot of noise when playing a game. At the dashboard,it sometimes will not make noise and sometimes it will. It's pretty annoying but I just ignore it.

I never really notice the noise on my 360..maybe at first but then once your into the game you cant hear it anymore.

lol i thought i was going to get that playing DW5 Empires last night.

But yeah sometimes the fan gets really loud, probably depends on the game. When watching movies it's always loud though.
 
Yeh thats actually true lol. Which is wierd because it cant be pushed to the limits reading a DVD compared to reading a game etc. Dont watch DVD's on my 360 anyway, but you have got a point :)
 
Thanks for the replys, i ended up taking it back to gamestop and getting gears of war. But when i returned the game the clerk thought it was the sixty $ game so i ended up make a $20 profit

Wow! Really? You took it back for Gears. Im not a Gears hater, i liked it...i never really got into the multiplayer though.

I loved everything about COD4. Anyway, it making the same amount of noise?
