If anyone is interested Wii's are in Instock at Walmart.com 249.99

Wii Suck and Nintendoo knows it. Everyone will be able to get a Wii (that wants one) this year because they are finally shipping the tons of units that they have been holding. But It still sucks

Troll much?

Thanks OP. I still can't believe how tough it is to snag these things. Does Nintendo require velocaraptor DNA to manufacture these things? I can't see any other reason why they can't meet demand.

i dunno...i think they are getting easier to get. I stopped by my local gamestop to take advantage of the b2g1, and they said theyve been sitting on the same 12 wiis for the past month

i think we've reached a point where you can walk into virtually any retailer and get a nintendo wii.

btw, if anyone's looking for a wii fit in northern virginia, woodbridge best buy's got like 15 in stock, and that's just on the floor.

I have seen Wii's all over the place for the last two months. (Minnesota) In fact its been a little more rare to see XBox Arcade's and Pro's since the 360 price drop.

Yeah, but don't expect it to last, as the holidays approach. If you've been thinking about getting one, I'd act on that impulse now rather than later or it may be another 6 months.

I haven't seen a Wii in stock around here for over a year at least. I have no interest in getting one for myself but I know my mom and
my niece would love using it.

Still available. I'm actually surprised it's still available online. I though they'd be all gone by now.

I noticed just now that gamestop.com's bundles are now listed as shipping in 24 hours. Previously they were always pre-orders that would ship at some later date, so perhaps the Wii is finally becoming more available. I'm going to check my local gamestop as I have flip credit that I'd like to put toward a Wii (and don't want their online forced bundles.) Or maybe I should wait and see if this might be due to the Xbox 360 price drop slowing sales of the Wii, and thus might perhaps lead to a Wii price drop in response! Hmm....

Wishful thinking...remember the Wii prints money, there will be no price drop until people stop eating the shovelware.

more than a dozen each of wii fits and consoles in stock in charlotte,nc. saw the stacks at best buy at jw clay blvd in university, the store associate told me they had been there since sunday.

I saw Wii systems pretty much everywhere on Tuesday. One Best Buy even had over 20 units in stock out on the floor in a pyramid. Looks like one of those weeks when Wiis pop up all over the place. There seems to be those weeks when Wiis are everywhere, so now would be a great time to get one. Come late November, you'll never find one.

I was just at a B&M Walmart to get other things and ran by the game section just for a quick look, and they had 5 Wii's in the case and it was 10pm at night. They also had Wii Play saran wrapped around them. Is that some kind of deal I haven't heard of?

I saw one at Walmart last night, about 9 p.m. I still have not seen them on the shelves that much, they are supposed to up production by 50% this quarter, so I think they will be a little easier to get this christmas, if you want to buy one for a christmas present, now is the time, Oct. is the best time, they will be harder to get come mid Nov. into Dec.

FYI, I, on an educated hunch, given this thread, decided to stop by a local Gamestop and they had Wii's in stock. I wanted to buy one there because I had $103 in credit there. I asked if they got them in that day and they said they'd had them several days, but they got an unusually large shipment of them, thus why they still had a few left. They were down to the last few, though. So, it would seem that it isn't just Walmart that has gotten a large shipment of Wii's. Worth checking whatever is nearby to you.

Wii consoles are definitely much easier to get these days. You could probably walk into many-to-most retail chains and snag one. But expect that to change categorically come November. I don't care what Nintendo says about supply availability, but I guarantee you won't be able to find one without getting extraordinarily lucky from Thanks giving until early January. So if you're a parent and know right now that you'll be needing one for Christmas or something, I'd shop now.
