Ive seen this at Best Buy and it draws my attention every time I go there, but I have no idea what the hell it is or what its about. The last time I saw something like it, I bought it, and it sucked ass....Happy Tree Friends. Is it like that? Is it good? Is it....?



ps, this isnt a deal, but where else would it go? i dont know, so it goes here for now :wink:

This show happens to be on Cartoon Network, if you have cable catch an episode before you buy it.

And no its no where near as good as happy tree friends, I'm sorry.
 
it comes on cartoon network at night. Some people like it, some don't. IMO it is pretty fuckin stupid.

every episode results in milk conning her way out of paying the rent, talking to the president about a new objective, and calling someone a dumbass along the way

i kinda like happy tree friends like .. a lil buy super milk chan isnt worth buying its really lame. just watch it on adult swim. its sometimes funny and cool cause she murmurs and the president is infested with flys.
 
well, i guess i have to go against the grain here. i saw it on adult swim, and thought it was really strange so i bought the dvds from deepdiscountdvd during the 20% off sale. i really like it. the dvd episodes are way, way better than the episodes on adult swim. the voices are different and the dialogue is changed drastically. the humor (on the dvd, that is) references a variety of things, including the olsen twins and a bunch of other pop-culture type stuff, as well as other jokes pertaining to other things. i say buy the first one and see if you like it.

super milk chan is also a thousand times better than happy tree friends, by the way. when i first saw happy tree friends, i was mildly entertained for the first two episodes, but after that it gets really old really fast.

but yeah, don't base your opinion of super milk chan on the episodes you'll see on tv. compared to the dvds, the tv ones are really bad.
 
IMO its a waste of a show. Its so ridiculously bad that I dont even know why they made it lol. But as the saying goes to each his own. ^_^

Damn I almost bought Happy Tree Friends too, but then luckily I caught it on a shitty channel called "MTV2" which supposedly stands for Music Television....anyway, i saw it and it was one of the worst shows I've ever seen IMO, so im sooo glad I didnt buy it. As for Super Milk Chan, watch it on CN before buying, i dont think its good.
 
It's supposed to be stupid. I love it.

I didn't even know it had a DVD out.

I should pick this DVD up next tme I'm out, then!

Edit: Nevermind, I found out they are released in "volumes", and I don't have enough cash to keep getting each volume.

Hmm, a person with Linkin Park in his sig called anything related to music bad. Although I do agree with you about Milk Chan. Not really funny...
 
The DVDs feature the dub you see on Adult Swim which is a direct translation of the Japanese script, and then there is an Americanized version, which is 10x better and is funny as hell.
 
The show has its moments, I can't say I'd buy it, but know that I know about this "americanized" version, I almost wouldn't mind seeing that if it's any good.
 
I would say its not meant for American Audiences. There are a lot of references that only the Japanese will get. The English dubbing is also....unattractive.

Happy Tree Friends is good but milk chan is so so. I laugh from time to time like when the owner of the factory asked if he could sniff her panites. It just caught me off guard the first time but now that I know what is coming it isn't as funny.
 
The Adult Swim versions are horrible. The American DVD with the live clips in-between struck my funny bone. There were alot of funny-ass bits in the live action. I think I'm just partial to the show because we had the first volum sitting around at work and I was having a shitty day and popped it in. I was not expecting the blitz of vulgarity and pop-culture, so it made me smile.

Then again, I also like Happy Tree Friends (before Hot Topic sodomized it). It was one of those things you could bust out at a party and traumatize an entire room in 5 minutes.

You either love Super Milk Chan or you hate it. For me, it's pretty good and has it's funny moments but I wouldn't buy the DVD, it's a funny show, but not "HOLY SHIT I MUST GET THAT ON DVD NOW BEFORE MY HEAD EXPLODES AND BRAIN MATER FLYS INTO THE WALL BECAUSE MY MOM WILL YELL AT ME" good. I'd watch it on Adult Swim (cartoon Network) on sunday at 1230am.

Happy Tree Friends is one of those things that you either LOVE (which means you also like the tripe on Adult Swim) or you HATE (Like me, it was not funny and was basic immature garbage).

I rented it from Netflix, I wasted my time.
 
Yeah I love that show.....A lot of the people who normally embrace every facet of Adult Swim programming seem to hate it though...
 
fucking horrible show about some ugly president wanting to have sex with his cat, I mean...Aqua teen is stupid but it's funny, this show is very stupid and not funny.

There should be an episode on Adult Swim tonite, or 12:30 EST to be exact. I personally hate it but some people like it so I strongly advise watching it before you even pick it up off the shelf.
