Bioshock PS3 for $44.99 @ Amazon

Good find, OP.

I completed the game on the PC last year -- loved it -- and I'm not against grabbing a copy for the PS3, but I think I'd like to see it drop a bit more.

If you haven't played this, grab it. It is awesome.

I figured the price would drop quickly, since I don't know how you can justify charging $60 for a port of a game that's a year old. Still gonna wait for a lower price, but thanks for the heads up OP.
Any word on if this has online MP? I'd figure Sony would push for it. If I were them I would.
hmm I know... I wish they had multiplayer... but as far as I know... I don't think it exists..

Jeez I can't believe Sony! I would've ridden their asses to put that on there as it would've made the PS3 version a must buy for most of the first people who bought it.
So what was really added then?

I'm really not sure on this... but new difficulty, trophies and DLC???
..yeah I know its pretty lame... I was disappointed at Sony too!

ahh, too bad i found this like new at gamestop this past week for the $38.xx with the coupon and edge. Playing it right now, it's worth every penny.

I have a feeling this is going to drop very quickly in price. I am going to hold off but thanks for posting this!

Is the sound even Lossless? If it is then I'll eventually buy it on the PS3 instead. Otherwise with new difficulty and trophies the DLC better be huge. I mean it just kind of irritates me I have to buy it because it looks better and is RROD free. I wouldn't mind if the price was comparable to the 360 one but this does stick under my craw a bit.

I'm in the exact same boat. I'd love to play it on my 46" TV; but I already paid like $40 for the PC version, so I'll just wait for the PS3 version to drop in price.

I think I just found a use for my LBP and R2 gift cards; thanks OP!!! :applause:

Being a long time gamer, this is the first time I can think of where it seems like the flood of solid games just isn't letting up.

-R2: I completed the single player mode, but I'm still playing & loving the online co-op.
-Fallout 3: I'm currently making my way through the wastelands one glorious slow-mo headshot at a time.
-Lego Batman: I need to finish up w/the villain portion.
-Smackdown vs. Raw '09: First time I've enjoyed this franchise in years.
-NBA2K9: Normally, I play this series excessively this time of year, but it's been pushed to the back burner this year.
-LBP: I think it's a fabulous title, but it has barely been touched thanks in large part to R2 and Fallout.
-Now I'm adding Bioshock and one of these days, I'd like to pickup Far Cry 2, Dead Space and COD: WaW.

All that and then the first quarter of next year includes titles like Killzone 2, RE5 and Infamous...wow.

I'm not complaining and I certainly appreciate the wealth of good to great titles, but there are only so many hours in the day and the wallet has really taken a hit too!

Only difference is i'm also loving Lost Odyssey (30 hours, disk four, so close...) and Valkyria Chronicles :)........and Mirror's Edge.......

Wow. This is pretty much a must buy if you didn't already buy it on 360 or rent it on PC. It's supposed to be slightly graphically enhanced over the 360 version (which already looks great). I played the demo and...yep, it's Bioshock! :)
