This week, I found the best deals at Futureshop were not the games.

Picked up He-Man Season 1 Volumes One & Two for $9.99 each.

Also, got She-Ra Season 1 Volumes One & Two for $9.99 each.

Absolutely killer.
 
When it says 'Trade 3 for xxx' for Futureshop, does that mean 'Trade 3, get credit and also xxx'?
And if yes, what's the catch?

I believe like EB games deals, it requires a minimum trade in value of some dollar value..

Don't think it's worth it for a movie, maybe for games then sure..
 
Yeah, I remember a previous deal where you trade in 3 games, get a coupon for half off Fable 2 or LBP and you get the complete credit for the games you trade in as well. You have to be ass-backwards retarded to trade in 3 games to get a DVD or DS/PSP game.

I saw this deal for Season 1 Volume 2 at HMV a few weeks ago... but if you wanted to get Season 1 Volume 1 you'd have to pay $40! It may have just been priced wrong... but check there if FS is sold out.

Damn, this would have been good for GTA4. With our group of friends & family, we each pick one name in the group for Kris Kringle with a $50 limit, and I was hoping to get a particular person this year (which I didn't).

I would have bought him GTA4 for PS3, which is perfect because a) he loves the GTA series b) he doesn't have the PS3. He'd be sooo pissed that he couldn't play the game unless he bought a PS3 first :lol:

I went to 2 different Zellers this morning, one pointed me to the rack of old clearance games, and the other handed me a list of what was on sale. Everything on the list was old and way overpriced to begin with.
 
Checked out the Zellers 2/30 today... some decent stuff like Eternal Sonata and Beautiful Katamari, but mostly junk. Kind of seemed like I could have fooled the cashier into letting me get higher/full priced games, since she did a price override pretty much without looking, but then I'd feel like a dirtbag. Or worse yet, an RFDer.
 
I'm intrigued by this 2/30 at Zellers. Has anyone seen any of the disc-only Singstars for PS2 in there? That's what I'm hoping to pick up.

I bet HBC/Zellers are losing big bucks over this. Their flyers are so vague, apparently it's equally as vague for their employees as it is for consumers.

The only other Zellers I can get to that I didn't try was Metrotown, but they always have the absolute minimal selection for any games sale, so I figured there was no point in wasting my time.
 
What I don't get is how Zellers hasn't figured this out by now. Since I joined the forum, there must have been, what fifteen million different Zellers promotions. And each time, the people who work at Zellers have no clue what it is or how it works.

Does anyone else remember those commercials not too long ago where Zellers was all "Hey, good news. We've actually trained our staff, so they'll, like, know where things are and stuff". I think they need to do that again. =)

I picked up SingStar Abba, Pop, Pop Vol 2, Rocks, Legends and Country, all for 100 bucks. Now we have them all :D

I'm not even gonna bother trying to get anything from my local Zellers; even on the first day of the sale, their staff is smart enough to know it was a pricing error. And if it really wasn't, oops, "this guy will come back anyway".

And sadly, I will. :(
