NDS Lite Problems

I got a DS Lite for Christmas, and it won't charge. If I put in the plug, the orange light come one for less than a second, then nothing. It also won't turn on regardless of whether its plugged in or not?

Has anyone else experienced this? The nintendo help line is down right now, as is the product registration portion of their web site, so I am just waiting to get some answers. (Also, it was bought for me from TRU online, so I figure going through nintendo is easier than trying to deal with an online return).

The DS you recieved has a faulty motherboard. If it was new, you should probably exchange for another new one in the store.
