How did this aborted fetus of a game survive? It honestly makes Two Worlds look good. Ugh. It's got to be the most awkward game I've tried to play in the last two years. Has anyone else here been enough of a fool to try this game?

It's what happens when we're utterly starved for well-produced CRPGs. Dragon Age may just be high profile enough to spark new life in the genre. The Witcher helped. Some other things that would help are Neverwinter Nights 2 on Steam and Mass Effect 2 PC being a simultaneous (Steam) release.

Never Winter Nights 2 has been out for a while...don't think that Mass Effect #2 is out yet...

I'm keeping an eye on Dragon Age...I'm a big Black Isle Studio fan [when they called themselves that].

In Gothic 1 if you joined the right clan you could sit around and smoke the hookah. Not too...shabby...

I always heard that Gothic II is pretty good. Did they really botch the third one that bad?

Hey now I actually enjoyed Two Worlds, it wasn't the greatest game ever made but I wasn't expecting it to be. I beat it and I'm looking forward to the next one, hopefully they can make some improvements.

I haven't played Gothic 3 though so I can't comment on it. ;)

I second that Two Worlds wasn't that bad. At least not as bad as Gothic 3. I bought this at Gamestop for $4.99 and the first thing I had to do after installing it was download the latest patch so I could even run the damn game! :bomb: Then after getting it to run, I discover that all of the poor reviews were right.

Okay, I have to ask, I've played the demo of Two Worlds, and that game was a big fat turd on a tarnished silver platter, the graphics were terrible (looked like 3d on PSX, if not worse), and the gameplay was even worse (played like what I imagine a 3d game on the NES would have played like). Now, this was on the 360, but out of curiosity is it one of those cases where the demo doesn't actually do the game justice?

The 360 game/demo are about the same thing, except the game keeps going on. :/

I though it took several hours for the game to improve, I wasn't enjoying it at all the first few hours, but as my character got more powerful I started to enjoy it more.
