Prince of Persia 360/PS3 $39 on Amazon

Decent deal. I'm surprised it hasn't completely price dropped by now.
I picked it up used at GS a few months for $26 after coupons/sales shenanigans. It's a good game but I wouldn't pay any more than maybe $30 for it.

Yeah I think it went down to $40 or maybe even $35 for a while at Amazon & GS and then back up shortly after.

Wait for the $25.00 or even $20.00 deal. It's not worth it. I'm still amazed it got the reviews it did, as besides the graphics there isn't much there.

Most reviews don't take into account price unless there's a gross discrepancy. I paid about $35 used a few months ago and don't really regret it, but at the same time, can't recommend anyone price conscious to pay more that $30 for it. The quality is there, though, even if the game is one massive QTE, it hides it better than a lot of other games. It's a fun game, but Sands of Time is still king of the series.

Hmm...I think it was pretty amazing for what it was. I'm sure for me it was by far the best Prince of Persia game ever (not sure I could have stood any of the old ones)...

BUT after getting a bit past halfway through, I got stuck on a puzzle where you had to turn all these cranks to let water through. Could have checked an FAQ, but honestly I really wanted to move on to another game at that point. (Playing Resistance now.)

It's pretty strong though, and really gorgeous. (I picked up the Playstation one for $40 when Gamestop had it on sale briefly).
Tempting, but I'll pass on this one.
Everything after Sands of Time was just disappointing.
WW may not have been as good, but Two Thrones is as good as SoT. I hear the combat is even worse in the new game, but the platforming looks great.

I had preordered Prince of Persia, and although it would have been nice to save a few bucks now, I would don't regret the purchase. I am a hardcore gamer, loving challenges found in games like Ninja Gaiden II. No mistake, this game is not for a person looking for a hardcore challenge, but playing this game was a trip back to the days you played the game because it was simply fun. The story drew you in, the graphics were like a water painting come to life, and it was a great experience playing it.

The game takes 12 hours or so to complete, without going after the collectibles. I defiantly recommend it

Oh god, I couldnt agree with you more. I mean, ok...the game was fine or decent but "great?" Give me a break. The combat is horrible and the game is extremely repetitive...

I think it would take most people a lot longer than 12 hours, and be more than hard enough. Some of the puzzles are the most frustrating part. Overall very good though.

I LOVED this game! I rented it from Gamefly at first, cuse i had doubts.

The art style of the game are just stunning!

I am actually looking for the Collectors Edition of this game. Anyone know a site that even has them in stock?

Was the collector's edition just the version they had at launch? I got one I guess-had a box over the inner box (at least for the Playstation version) and that had a (regular, non-Playstation format) Blu Ray in it with some making of type stuff. It was okay, but I was disappointed that it didn't have the soundtrack on a separate CD. Like it's a good soundtrack, and on the Blu Ray it's cool how it does different backgrounds, but it would be a LOT more useful on CD.

I thought it was CAG rule to never buy an Ubisoft game until it drops to $20. The kings of quick price drops.

I played this game a bit at a friend's house. I found the game to be surprisingly average, considering all the good review scores.

Anybody else order this game from Amazon? I just got mine today, and they sent me the Limited Edition version

I wasn't a huge fan of this. I rented it and found it to be very repetitive and somewhat boring. If it drops to $10 eventually I'd get it.

I got this through yourfree360games.com (CE version too) and thought it was great but a bit short and simplistic. I HATE collectathons and POP makes you but the game is gorgeous, the controls are good, and the story and dialogue is good as well. I'd wait for Target clearance but then again I'm out of work and blew the only credit I had on a DSI.
