PBS Frontline: Virtual Military Training

Video's fascinating. Closest thing to Jack Thompson's alleged "killing simulators" I can think of, and quite a ways removed from the way we traditionally think of a "video game."

The USAF has been using these types of programs for years. Hell, our TBAS (Test of Basic Aviation Skills) is a ing videogame (a terrible one that could be done EASILY with Javascript, but hey). I've been told that at Undergraduate Air Battle Management Training(UABMT) , our simulators are like an RTS game. It's a lot cheaper than flying a ton of sorties with neophyte Lieutenants fresh out of basic.

The same logic applies here, it just keeps soldiers and civilians from being killed.
