I'll be getting the normal version, lol, don't see a use fro all that extra added crap.

Just plain vanilla for me. Been disappointed too many times by being unnecessarily excited for "limited" editions. Far too overdone, and never surprising.

And those goggles are probably close to worthless.

Voted for Hardened (the CoD 1 code is worth the extra cost anyways), though I am still debating the Prestige edition a little since they are indivually numbered (they are that limited).

I want the one with "Call of Duty" in the title. Why? Because it'll be the last time it appears on an Infinity Ward shooter.

Keep in mind the Halo 3 Legendary Editions were individually numbered too.

Very true, but I will admit to being an Infinity Ward Call of Duty fanboy, so something like this I would end up at least considering. At this point I am still just going for the Hardened edition and I doubt I will get the Prestige one.

Normal. I bought the legendary edition of Halo 3, and will buy what ever gimmick they have for Reach as well, but for CoD I'll have to pass.
How about an option for none of them?
That's not the question he's asking. If a "none" option were to be included in this set, the question would be "Are you buying MW2, and if so, which version?" So this question is geared towards people who actually intend to buy the game.

These kinds of responses are a minor pet-peeve.

And my vote is "normal" but only if I can find it for cheap and I don't mind waiting several months.

Normal, hate collecting junk. Especially game nick-nacks. I just want the game so I can play it until I get tired of it, and throw it on Goozex and be done with it.

Though I'm not 100% sure whether I'll get it at all, just depend on how much I'm gaming around then and whether I'm in the mood for an online shooter.

Eh, none of them, rental for me and then see if there's a deal or not... Like the Halo's Legendary Edition, Prestige might be $40 or so in a year. If not, I'm not missing much anyway (same attitude goes to the Harden edition as well).

I have to get this on day one just for the multiplayer.

I still have never played the single player mode of COD4, but I have days and weeks logged in online multi.

Right now I have the bullshit night vision version reserved with Amazon. But douchebag Bobby Kotick reeeally makes me want to switch that preorder to the regular version.

So I voted for Prestige, but I'm not sure which version I will eventually be getting.

Pre-ordered the Normal one with some Gamestop store credit. I might buy the Prestige version later on but for now I just want to play the game.

I'm only getting the normal version. I don't really care for extra artbooks or a better start or whatever the hardened version gives you. The prestige edition would be tempting (for the night vision goggles alone), but IIRC, that was announced after I pre-ordered plus not having a job, I couldn't dare put that kind of money down.

I won't be getting any of them. Eventually, I may pick it up on the cheap, but I won't at launch.

The only thing really annoying me is that, you never know which of the Collectors Editions will be worth it. For all we know now, in 5 years, the Prestige could be a bargain when they are going for $500+ on Ebay and it becomes an iconic combo. Then again, they could still be easily found 6 months after launch at a discount.

big hits never become worth alot becuase they sell so much and there are so much in circulation. but games that no one has heard of and dont sell well usually become hard to find/ worth something if it is a good game.

example
you can pick up halo anywhere on the cheap right now

ico never sold well and wasnt really heard of but was a good game, now it sells anywhere between $60-$200 on ebay

You don't buy the Prestige edition because it will be worth something.

You buy it so you can hunt your wife's cats at night on equal footing.

I'm hoping this one drops like a rock though so I can pick up a Prestige on clearance.
I like how there will be DLC for this game when it launches. Love this industry.
Please explain further. Are you talking about COD1? I think thats going to be a separate XBLA game that you get a free code for when you buy one of the premium versions of MW2.

I'll probably pass picking up any of these, rather waiting for it to drop or pick up a copy when someone gets pissed cause they think its sucks for some reason.. lol

People who order the prestige version will probably be disappointed with the bonus, i mean its just a gimmick to get you to spend more money. The night vision googles will likely be made of lesser quality than the ones marketed for kids called:
"Eyeclops Night Vision" (product link TRU)

update: a article at wired.com on this actual product too (link to EyeClops Review)

Normal. Any other version is a waste. Now if the the Prestige edition had military grade night vision goggles for $150, then I would definitely get that version. But it doesn't, so I couldn't care less.

Normal Edition. Although, the COD1 Code, Artbook, and Case are a nice bonus (could possibly switch my order to Hardened Edition in the future).

Probably Hardened since I'll want the CoD 1 download. The rest just icing.

*Edit* - I didn't notice the Hardened version was $20 more. Thought it was $10 more. Forget it then - normal for me.

Normal version on 360. Got a Best Buy $15 GC from mycokerewards.com that I'm putting towards that pre-order! :D

The CE I'll be getting come November is Dragon Age: Origins.
