88.99$ for Sonic Advance 2?!

While looking at the lastest price drops and whatnot, I can across the new price for the popular GBA game, Sonic Advance 2.
Being an Avid sonic fan, I had to check the price. Released back in japan in 2002 and in Europe and America in 2003, it's current price on Amazon.com is now 88.99$.....What?! 88.99 FRICKIN' DOLLARS?! Thats nuts! Why do that when I could easily buy it off of Gamestop for 12-13 bucks. Opinions?

Haha, that's awesome. I'm surprised to see that Amazon set the price that high. Maybe they have 1 left? I would make the trip to Gamestop or take my chances on ebay.

Then in that case, I hope that if my friend ever sells his copy that he gets plenty of money for it lol. Though I find it hard to believe that there would only be one copy left :/

Its from Hitgaming, not really from Amazon. These games are definitely not worth this much brand new at all. Check out similar products Super Mario Advance for $44, Super Mario Advance 3 for $95.

BTW, Sonic Advance 2 is up to $92.

If you want these games brand new and cheaper, go to Game Quest Direct (gamequestdirect.com).

I've been noticing these prices too (pretty much every Sonic Advance game is on my wishlist). They tend to be from non-Amazon vendors, and there's usually a cheaper option in the "see all sellers" lists.

The initial sticker shock is always quite the eye-opener, though.

I've been seeing a lot of Hitgaming on Amazon marketplace lately, and they're insane on every game they sell. I keep hoping nobody buys from them so maybe they'll come back to reality.

I want to get all the GBA Sonic titles in their boxes. Unfortunately, it seems 95% of game consumers feel a genetic need to toss cardboard boxes and instruction manuals as waste matter, so I have yet to come across complete copies at a price I can live with.

Seconded. They've priced Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn at $90+.

There was something else I was looking at earlier that was priced like $90 dollars. I had to do a double take since it had FSSS and thought it was odd that Amazon would price something way higher than MSRP.

Those prices are crazy.

And its because of Hitgaming jacking up the prices on video games that my Amazon wishlist has become so sparse lately. Yeah, we can find all those items cheaper from other sellers, but the thought of a well intentioned relative paying $100 for a $20 game as a gift for me through an Amazon seller just chaps my ass. I'd rather not put one of those items on my list.

Amazing the Hitgaming and Amazon prices are so high, considering that there are a few factory sealed copies of the game on there right now in the $33 to $40 range from a few sellers.

And I just bought an opened, complete copy for my collection for only $25. I even inquired with the seller who said the box was in very good shape.
