Need help trying to get GQD to get Konami to reprint MGS:TTS

Nintendonly

CAGiversary!
All that needs to be done is we need to bombard Game Quest Direct with emails to show that there is a demand. Just go here to send them an email. Here is an example email that I sent them:

Game Quest Direct is known to get major publishers to reprint fan-demanded games. What I am inquiring about is if GQD could get Konami to reprint Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the Nintendo GameCube (UPC#: 083717400165). Nintendo fans are clamoring for a Metal Gear game to be on the Nintendo Wii, but Konami so far has shown no interest. Since all GameCube games are compatible with the Wii, both new and existing fans will be able to play the game. With Solid Snake's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, many new players wondered where he came from. This reprint of a Nintendo-exclusive game will fill all the missing holes, and if sales are good of the reprint, it could show Konami that there is a Metal Gear fanbase present on the Wii. I am also interested in purchasing this game, but prices for it on ebay are too expensive. Game Quest Direct has a price that I am willing to pay. Thank you for your time.

GQD has been able to reprint obscure games that someone like me doesn't care about (such as Suikoden II). So why can't they reprint a game that is cared about by most of the gaming public? They even got SEGA Saturn games to be reprinted. Sheesh.

GQD never reprinted Suikoden II or Sega Saturn games.

Also, GQD have tons of requests to reprint many of obscure niche games . The hardest part is negotiating with publisher to reprint it and buy at a fair price. Many of publishers refuse to reprint these 'niche' games, since they feel it's a big gamble(I can't blame them. Go look at majority of NPD numbers). That's where GQD kick in. GQD will take the risk and buy a large quantity of their games then they resell it to consumers(in their store or ebay) or retailers(Gamestop, Amazon).

Out of all the reprints very few of them hit market success(Fatal Frame Series, Rhapsody, Rez, Shin Megami Tensai: Digital Saga, Nocturne, Persona 2, Guitaroo Man, Resident Evil 2+3 for gamecube, Shadow Hearts 1, Shadow Hearts Convenant, Breath of Fire IV, ) except Disgaea 1 for ps2. The game became so popular it became a Greatest Hits title and NIS is able to form their own publishing company.

If you have any one to blame, it should be Konami. And it's not like the game sold poorly. It's a Player Choice title. FYI, it doesn't seem like it fetches good money on ebay. It seem to get around $20-30. The demand spike down after a few months of Metal Gear 4 initial release.

I missed out on picking this game up when it was available for $20 new. Kind of annoyed that I missed out on it since it's a game I'd like to play but it's way too expensive at Gamestop. Maybe I'll get it off of e-bay one of these days.
Bah this is why I hate GQD and think they are ruining video games especially in the collectors eyes. :bomb:
Ruining video games? By making more copies available to gamers who want to play them? Are you insane? Collectors can piss off.

try wherehouse.com , amazon.com or gamestop.com im sure you can find the game there at a decent price. i doubt they wil reprint it like someone already mentioned it sold pretty well and in its own way it kinda was a reprint of an older game just prettied up with added stuff and features. the only game id want to see reprinted would be ico but even then with what sony is doing with the god of war collection whose to say they wont do the same for ico and sotc.

I don't see how reprinting a game is ruining gaming. The hoarders hoarding all the games are ruining gaming.

If they reprinted MGS TTS I would buy several copies for friends and family. Plus a new copy for myself.

Just purchase a used copy in good condition, this is not some ultra hard to find obscure title.

I'm a collector and I have no problem with game reprints. Reprints let people who want to play a game have a chance to do so without paying an exhorbitant markup because a game is rare or out of print.

I collect games because I love to play them, and I like to own games so I can play and replay them anytime I want. And while I do have sealed games and games that are worth alot more than I paid for them, thats not why I collect them.

If you collect games as some sort of financial investment, or retirement fund, your an idiot. Ask anyone who has a large collection of comicbooks or baseball cards how thats going for them.

If you want to invest in something that will increase in value, there are plenty of good mutual funds and other financial instruments you can put your money in and see a better return on. Hell, my savings account gives me 3% and that money appreciates faster than my game collection.

Collect games cos you love games, to play them, or even to look pretty lined up on a shelf, not because you plan to get rich ebaying sealed copies of MVC2 or MGS:TTS.

MGS is wonderful, but I have played at all,it`s like command 3,waste much time, try again and again

Damn it.

Just received an email minutes ago.

Hello

Thank you for your inquiry. I asked our product managers and heard back that we are not able to reprint GameCube games because NIntendo has discontinued production of GameCube games altogether. Thank you for letting me assist you and if there is anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.

Sincerely,
