I just emailed GameStop Corporate this email. I am tired of their empty promises with preordered promo items. I am done with gamestop.
Hello my name is XXXX. I would not recommend your store or your company. I am very disappointed. I pre-ordered the DS game Scribblenauts for my daughter, only because the sales person told us about the promo giveaway (rooster hat). My daughter was very excited for the game and the promo item. Normally I do not pay full price for a game but preordered it for the promo item.
When I went to pick up the game and promo item, I was told that they did not receive enough promo hats. So we would not be receiving one. My daughter was very disappointed. I decided to not buy the game and took my 5.00 preorder money back. Your company has the responsibility to keep their word. And if a preordered item is not available then something needs to be done about it - rather than just say " I am sorry". Your employees constantly push pre ordering games for promo items. If that is your hook or what sets you apart than you need to be true to your promises. Ohterwise, I can go across the street to Play and Trade or just buy my games from various online stores.
You need me as a customer alot more than I need you. Gamestop lost a customer today. I am will certainly post my complaints on gaming forums like www.cheapassgamer.com
Sincerely
Dustin
