I heard that for right now the people that bought the disc version cannot play multiplayer against folks that bought it as DLC on XBOX. Can anyone confirm?

Not many games can hold up to GTA IV, Still comparably better though.
 
Never say never for that exclusive deal, they only last for so many years. Not that it worth it once the game has aged and has been milked by retail and second-hand sales.
