This, especially if they're chili beans - not so bland.

1 loaf of bread = $1
1 tub of butter = $1
1 package of cheese slices = $2

Grilled Cheese, nuff' said. :)

If your really feeling like a chef, open up a can of tomato soup and add that to go along with it, adding another 50 cents or so to the cost per meal.

Cream of chicken soup with rice.

Can of cream of chicken in a pot, fill it halfway with milk and halfway with water and pour it in, bring it to a boil, then add in a can of rice, and remove from heat and cover.

double or triple etc depending on how much you want to make.

Pasta. All stores have specials from time to time where you can get 10 boxes for $10. Then stock up on sauces. I can cook many things but eat lots of pasta. There's ragu's double cheddar cheese sauce, pesto, a hundred varites of marinara sauce, Alfredo, and just plain butter. I have found that I get my favorite pasta cheaper at the new target/grocery stores then the local stores. Except when giant or wegmans has ten for ten. Switching the sauce around and occasional getting frozen ravioli or tortalini prevents it from becoming incredibly boring for me. Try to add some veggies on the side if you some healthy stuff. There's also baked potatoes which take five minutes in the microwave. Just wash it. Make a few cuts in the top. Wrap in a paper towel and pick the time your microwave suggest. Simple.

I like this one, only sometimes I'll throw in some cheapy ham slices for a grilled cheese and ham delight.

Feces. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

...but really, a family favorite is a box of Mac&Cheese with 1/2 to a full can of chili mixed in. It's way more filling than either by themselves and it tastes great, if not a bit artery filling. Also, try experimenting with a variety of condiments (pesto, horseradish, etc) and cheeses (pepper jack/mozzarella, etc) on sandwiches. It mixes things up and in many cases will make them taste way better than plain ol' mayo/miracle whip or cheddar would. For an added bonus, pop off for a toaster oven and get that toasted sandwich goodness in the comfort of your very own home for half the cost of Quizno's.

Cut a potato in half, plant both halves in the ground, eat all of the bugs that crawl on it, use urine and feces to grow it, kill and eat all of the stray dogs that come to sniff the plant.

Everybody likes potatos

I WIN

an everything Bagel (or any kind that you like), swiss cheese and butter. Toast the bagel, butter it, add garlic and melt the cheese!! Awesome Kind of cheap, a dozen bagels and a pound of cheese.

Good stuff. I like to make homemade soups and beans, cheap and o so tasty. Just throw the stuff together and let it cook slowly. Some meat, potatoes, veggies.

Pasta, not bad for you and very cheap. Cook only a portion of the box and save the rest.

Various sandwiches, like ham n grilled cheese.

Eggs/omelets.

This sounds more like a lifestyle section topic.

And there's alot of healthy things that are cheap and can be made to taste great.
Like frozen or canned vegetables. Or pasta.
Spam costs $3 a can, though you can find some real ham for that much at a deli.

Frozen ground turkey (about $2 for 1.3 pound and it won't kill you like hotdogs) goes great in everything from Manwich with kidney beans to beef Stroganoff with actual sour cream. For a side I usually get those $1 frozen vegetables or some sort of mashed potato mix.

spaghetti or lasagna. all you need is premade sauce which can be bought cheap in a can , ground beef, and noodles and some kind of cheese. and for a side dish you can buy a prepackaged salad and dresing.

pasta salad: that weird spiral pasta ( sometimes comes in multi colors) black olives ( or green ) italian dressing , cheese, cucumbers.

chicken/tuna salad: chicken/tuna , eggs, mayo , onions, celery, mustard, pepper( yu can also add maccaroni noodles if you want).

theres alot of things you can make yourself for cheap and have plenty left over to last you for a while.

Buy some Publix brand beef patties, slap it on a George Foreman grill, add ketchup and mustard, fuck the bread and eat it as is. Meat cookie.

i know its crazy, but a bowl of oriental flavored maruchan ramen is one of my favorite things to eat.

i mean if i was given the choice between a nice steak and two packs of ramen, it'd honestly be a tough choice and would come down to what mood i was in.

Spaghetti

Spiral Pasta - $1
Italian Sausage - $3
Sauce - $2

Covers about 5 meals and works out well for me when I'm broke as fuck after rent/student loans leaves me with about $60 in my pocket for expenses on the first of my bi-weekly pays.

Awesome stuff. Recipes rule. Even when I buy something like a premade dish at Costco you can supplement it with your own spaghetti and save a ton of money.
