Sure it's more developer-centric than E3 but that doesn't mean that it's not going to be a blast. Sony for instance never fails to hold a good party.

March 8 - Spark PR GDC-Kick-Off Cocktail @ Bloodhound Bar 6PM to 9PM
March 8 - Final Fantasy XIII Launch Party @ The Regency Ballroom - 7PM
March 9 - EA Sports Season Opener Press Event @ The Press Club in San Francisco, CA - 6 PM to 9 PM
March 9 - Super Street Fighter 'Fight Club' event @ Slide in San Francisco, CA - 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
March 10 - Disney Interactive Studios Q1/Q2 lineup previews @ Hotel Palomar in San Francisco, CA - 2PM
March 10 - Civilization V hands-on time and interviews @ Elan Event Venue 10AM
March 10 - Mafia II hands-on time and interviews @ Elan Event Venue 11 AM
March 10 - Sony Computer Entertainment Press Event @ Concourse Exhibition Center San Francisco, CA - 4 PM to 7 PM
March 10 - God of War III GDC Media Event (with special musical performance) + Stig and many members of the dev team present - 7 PM to 10 PM
March 10 - Disney Interactive GDC 2010 reception @ the Disney Family Museum @ The Presidio - 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM
March 10 - MTV Games Rock Band party @ Rockit Room
March 11/12 - PlayStation Blog Lounge - 10 AM to 6 PM; A nice diversion from all the goings-on at GDC. We have in/out privileges of course. Hands on time with PS3/PSN/PSP games and interview opportunities with developers. Also features a Hands-on Gameplay Cocktail Event on Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PMl; this is all at The W Hotel in the Industry Room.
March 11 - TriplePoint PR & Nyko GDC party @ Otis Lounge - 7 PM to 1AM
March 12 - 2K Games Cocktail party @ Elam Event Venue 6 PM to 9 PM
 
If you're a writer, be sure to drop by the PlayStation blog lounge this afternoon. Lots of developers are there to chat. I just had a 30-minute 1-on-1 lunch with Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain) CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere. Stig from God of War III is also there and while he's technically booked solid, you might be able to squeeze in a quick Q&A.
