Just reposting what I had the patience to type in over at NeoGAF. Sorry about formatting and such.

Just got a flyer in my paper today for EB, 360 Arcade is on for $129.99 March 13-19.

Also:

COD4 and COD5 (World at War): $45 each (15 off)
Modern Warfare 2: $55 (10 off)
Dante's Inferno: $50 (20 off)
Mass Effect 2: $60 (10 off)
Army of Two 2: $50 (20 off)
Left 4 Dead 2: $50 (20 off, really?)

Animal Crossing w/Wii Speak $60 (10 off)

EDIT: There are also a bunch of console trade in deals (get $150 for your Xbox plus 2 games if you put it towards a new system, for example) including an odd one: "Extra $75 Trade In Credit when you trade in a select old console towards a new console.". Not really sure about how those work, though.

Hmm...this may be a silly question, but its $45 each for COD4 and COD:WaW, correct? At any rate, I may be in for the WaW Collector's Edition, thanks!

Nice, WaW collector's cheaper than normal version? Not surprised though.. even after it was $30 (?) back during the game days sale, I see most stores still chock full of them.

Considering they'll have arcades on sale for $129.99, it's a great way to upgrade and get a new warranty.

I have a launch console that a) has no more warranty, and b) has no HDMI. This sounds like a good deal to me ... I can get new hardware that is protected for three years and has more connection options.
 
The 75$ extra is for DS, PSP, 360, PS3 and Wii.

So, if I were to trade in my DSL it would be 40 + 75, almost a new 360. Anybody know if EB is strict in regards to the condition of console trade-ins? My DSL is kinda beat up, a few scratches and missing the slot 2 block, but it works perfectly.
 
I bought a 360 bout a year ago, I have HDMI support but somehow I am unable to get Dolby Surround output.

Anybody knows why? Do I need to buy a new 360?

You need an audio dongle to get optical out for surround.

Or if you have a receiver with HDMI inputs, you can get digital sound from the HDMI port. That's my current setup and it's great.

i do have an HDMI input on my receiver, thats how my PS3 is setup, but it doesnt give me Digital Surround with the Xbox. Ive heard I needed an official microsoft hdmi cable...

HDMI cables are universal, you might have change the settings in the 360 dashboard to enable digital surround. That, or whatever your playing doesn't support digital surround? Other than that I'm not too sure.

I did enable it in the settings...and the game supports it. Its very strange I know but I found some people with the same problem...it seems like some consoles version will not work without a microsoft cable.

I have tried everything, sniff :(
 
Any idea which Socom is $5? I'm assuming probably Confrontation on the PS3... just wanted to check and make sure it wasn't one of the PS2 games. I'd be up for getting Confrontation for $5.

Wow...with all these stores selling the Arcades at this price. You think they are making way for a new Arcade bundle? Kinda like the new spring elite bundle. Or they may even come out with a new low end with hard drive. Who knows, still kinda on the fence.
 
So, wait, I can trade in my DSLite and get $40 + $75 to put towards the DSi XL? I may just do this.
 
I wonder what my original fat DS trades for? Cause even $20 + $75 would mean a pretty cheap upgrade to a new dslite. That is assuming they will allow it for this promotion.

From what people think, they're phasing them out and clearing out stock, hence having the sale the same week as GDC.

So maybe, but there probably won't be much if any stock left after the first few days of the sale.

No, I meant for the trade a 360+2 games and get $150 deal. Would I have to trade in two 360 games? I have some DS trade fodder, which would be handy now :)

Thanks. I think I'm gonna buy a slim but keep the 60GB around for PS2 and movies. It already YLOD once and I don't trust it with my PS3 save files.

wow thx op, i was looking for a way to upgrade from my LAUNCH xbox 360 20gig that is just noisy as hell, for a jasper, ill just keep the HDD and swap it on the new arcade ( i can do that right ??) for 5$ its sooo worth it !!
ill even give em my wired 360 controller that i bought for 9.99 reconditioned

xbox 360 core value = 50 and they give you an extra 75, and the new arcade is on sale for 129.99, right ? i just have to make sure its a jasper...
 
I want to take advantage of the deal for the extra $75 and trade in my DSLite for as DSiXL, and my X360 for a Jasper.

One thing holding me back is that my original 360 came with component cables, where the new one just has standard composite. How can I switch them so I get to keep the component cables?

What I did was just walk in and say "hey, I want to do this Xbox 360 trade deal, but I don't have the standard AV cables, can we do the trade, and just remove the AV cables from the new unit I'm getting?" Worked like a charm for me, but the guys at my EB knew me so I might've had better luck than some.
 
Hmm.. I am in the same boat. I have a really old non-HDMI 360 with component cables, will those cables (and the optical audio output) work with the newer HDMI model? I'm out of HDMI inputs on my TV.

Is it confirmed that the games must be 8$ values for the $150 deal? Thats not so hot (only $12.50 per), might as well hold on to those for a T2 or T3.
