Heavenly Sword 19.99 Walmart

It baffles me how this game has been so resistant to price dropping--it has always been one that I'd grab for a sub-$10 price, a price point that it just seems unwilling to reach.

Sony has some retail ground rules for first-party games. But the hold out on the price point says to me they still are trying to make some $$ from it. Kind of like EA's value catalog.

The game never qualified for greatest hits and I wonder if Sony even broke even. The developers said they didn't make any money off it. For an early PS3-life exclusive, i'm not surprised.

Wrong. The (necessary, but not sufficient) criteria are 500K copies sold and at least 10 months on the market, both of which Heavenly Sword meet easily. For whatever reason, Sony has decided not to print a Greatest Hits version...maybe there are still enough unsold copies out there, I don't know.

Anyway, $20 for Heavenly Sword is fair, imo.

It should have been 19.99 2 years ago. It should be like 9.99 new now.

I refuse to pay more than 10 dollars for a mediocre 2006 PS3 game.

No cash? No play!

I agree that it insane that this game is still so expensive. I'm happy that I picked it up from Hastings for ~$16 used when they had their 20% off promo.
