What do they need to do? Send instructions with the label saying pick the game up, place it back in the box, seal the box, place the return label on it, open the door, go outside, get in a vehicle, drive to the post office, park the car, get out of the car, walk into the post office, send the game back. Jesus christ people impress me sometimes...
Curb your CAG rage for a second. I didn't ask "What should I do?" I asked if this happened to anyone else. The game is going back to them without question.
I received an e-mail a week ago from GameStop with a UPS return label on it. No order number, no explanation... nothing. They include return labels in most packages anyway. With two preorders on the way (Lego Harry Potter and Deathsmiles), I just assumed they decided to do it digitally now and save the printing costs. I completely disregarded it and, a week later, I had forgotten about it.
In fact, here's the body of the e-mail right here:
UPS Returns Label Delivery
This notice tells you that a UPS shipper has sent you an electronic UPS Returns Label.
You can print and use this label to include in your outbound shipment, or send it to the consignee. The label will be available for 10 days.
Note: When retrieving your UPS Returns Label below, we will provide you with both a UPS Returns Label and Commercial Invoice if the invoice was prepared by the original shipper.
That's it.
Then, a week later, I received a game I didn't order at around the same time I received games I did order.
Pardon me for not making the connection. I don't need instructions on how to ship a game via UPS, but something to the effect of, "We accidentally sent you a copy of Assassin's Creed II. Please send it back to us using this shipping label once you receive it." would have been nice so I at least knew what to expect.
