Wich one is preferred?
Viore is cheaper, but I hear vizio has terrible sound quality?

Panasonic plasma. Get one.

Oh, and if you're gonna move up to HDTV, internal speakers shouldn't matter, since you should be getting a nice surround sound system too. It completes the package.
