I'm assuming that GFW games can't be activated on Steam right?

Either way, I'll wait till these games eventually go on sale over there. Shouldn't be too long based on the crazy sales they've been having.

fear collection was on sale on steam yesterday, $10 got you both fear1+expansions, fear2+expansion

what a joke, RE5 is $10.20 on steam today, what's MS thinking! (more like capcom)

I'm pretty sure that's just MS stupidity there. RE5 goes retail for $30 these days, and both Impulse and Steam have had a $10 sale on it. MS would apparently have you believe it's still $50 normally.

I would bite on Dead Rising 2, but I'm fairly certain Steam will have it at that price or lower at some point this week.

You were correct ... Steam does have "Dead Rising 2" on sale today. It is $19.99 USD, but if you already own RE5, then DR2 is $15.99 USD.
