Music streaming - Xbox detects full library from PC, but only plays first 9000 songs?

In the past, my Xbox just took everything from my PC's library and dumped it in a huge playlist, which I then played on shuffle.

I recently got a new computer and now the Xbox seems to cap playlists at 9,000, even though it displays the correct number of songs after I select my source and browse "Albums," "Artists," "Songs" etc.

Since my computers went from Windows XP to Windows 7 I supsect that is the root of the problem, although I'm not positive since my Xbox still seems to acknowledge the correct number of songs (even though it won't add them to a playlist).

Any thoughts?

I think you have a lot of music.

It's a thought. It may not help very much though.

That's weird my 360 only plays the first 200 songs at random from all my mp3s on my networked PC. I'd love to have a bigger playlist but I thought, up until now, that 200 was the cap.

It needs to use the kaioken to go over 9000. Power on your system and shake it around a lot. You'll know it's using the kaioken when you see red lights emanating from the 360.
