Looking to buy a ZBoard...

CAGiversary!
hey guys, i'm looking to buy a zboard for my computer games and have been browsing the prices online. ive found some decent sales, but decided if there are better ones, my fellow cags would know. where can i find a cheap zboard in good condition? thanks

best one i saw was a lightly used one for $20 and brand new one (still packaged) for $30, both on ebay. i wouldnt want the wow sets, im actually getting it for guild wars =P

I would HIGHLY advise you don't get a zboard. They are a piece of shit, high failure rate, if you use it regularly the keysets will die in just a few months, if they aren't dead on arrival. The little special keys don't make you a better player anyways, it's just putting a fancy logo and picture on a bad product.

And yes, I know from experience. I've bought their product in the past, never again. Just go for a normal gaming keyboard.

actually, i always assumed the zboard was pretty quality because of how long its been around. after reading this i checked some reviews and they all said the same thing: solid idea, not so solid product, plus it doesnt increase playability as well as it seems. thanks for this, helped out a lot and i will be spending my money on other things
I also don't recommend getting a Zboard. They are decent, but you can do much more with a solid keyboard and customizing the keybindings yourself.
This. Their keys just get in the way, trust me.

I had a zBoard for most of Burning Crusade to Lich King... I had to replace the keyset at least 5 times. They are utter trash. No quality. I ended up using default keysets over the gaming ones too since the gaming ones interfered with normal use of my PC. Saitek, razer, steelseries, logitech, windows, anything but an overpriced zboard.
Don't get a zboard, if you want a keyboard for computer games get a steelseries keyboard, any will do.
Zboard is owned & made by steelseries. so don't get steelseries zboard and steelseries shift.

im prolly gonna go with a logitech, that 510 one witth the LED screen and such, though ill have to wait a bit longer to save some money

I've never used the regular Zboard keyboard but the Zboard Fang keypad is amazing. I just don't like using a standard keyboard for gaming personally. The Fang is awesome because it is designed specifically for gaming and has a better layout than a regular keyboard. And it seems to actually be good unlike the regular Zboard.

Unfortunately it seems Steel Series never made these after buying Zboard so the only place to find them is eBay and they sell over retail (go for like $60-70 I think). After a ton of use over several years mine was getting a little worn out so I was looking for replacements. I tried one from someone who pretty much copied their idea, the Cyber Snipa or something like that. But the layout of the keys was very uncomfortable. I ended up getting a Steelseries Merc Stealth which has a similar gaming keypad build into the side of the keyboard. Its not quite as good as the Fang, but still is much better than using normal keys which are meant for typing, not gaming.
