PSP game case design changed?

I haven't bought any PSP games in a long time, but recently picked up Ys Seven on the Amazon B2G1 deal. Thing is its case doesn't match with the PSP games I already own, the Playstation logo is grey instead of in color, and the Playstation Logo has been removed from the side with only the PSP remaining.

I don't mind the change, but was wondering how long has it been sense they changed it? Couldn't find any articles online about it.
 
The PSP game case design changed together with the PS3 game cases when the PS3 slim was introduced in September 2009.
