Metal Slug 7 (ds) used $9.99 at GameStop
That's cool but aren't Gamestop's used NDS games just game-only?
It actually depends on the store. I have 3 stores that are by me that still keep the cases, the other stores throw them out.

Same. All the stores really close to me keep the cases, but i've seen stores that dont. As for ordering online, i've ordered 5 used ds games from them. 3 came complete, one no manual, one game only.

I actually just started MS7 yesterday, and it's definitely worth $10, but I would caution anyone that buys it used as they may be missing out on a lot of the stuff that goes with the game. I got mine new and it came with a real nice cardboard sleeve, and inside it had a mini-CD and some posters I think, haven't really gone through it all yet. So it's more than just a standard plastic case and instructions. Amazon has it new for $17 and I've seen it dip lower (got mine for $12 I believe), so it may be worth a few extra dollars for collectors.
My gamestop threw out most of the cases for the ds games too. Why don't they just keep them where they keep the generic cases at ? Its really dumb if you ask me
Same here. Once I saw 6 empty cases behind 1 DS Game. I asked the manager and he said he couldnt let me have 2 ds cases.

Does anyone know the ACTUAL REASON gamestop throws DS/3DS cases away? I heard corporate instructed them to do so, but WHY would they? Don't most people (myself included) like the original case/manual? Besides it saves them money because they do not have to buy generic cases, the reasoning is beyond me, and I love to know why they do this.

Its to save space. Probably most people that buy games from GS dont care about the case. Believe me, i like having the game in the case. My question is, how the hell can they call a gut game new? This is why i barely shop at GS unless they have a great promo/old games

Exactly, I called GS to find a new copy of BB:CT when blazblue CT came out to buy it NEW as a gift, drove 20 miles to get it and it was OPENED with a sticker that said NEW and it was their only copy. That's such crap, honestly they are a shitty company, haven't been there since (like 2 years) I use amazon/half/eBay, and always get great deals, buying new and used and get great resell value. Avoid GS if you can, they almost alway rip you off.

The cart only stuff doesn't come in a generic case, they literally hand it to you in a paper envelope. They tried to pull that with me once when there was a case RIGHT ON THE SHELF, and I called them on it. It's awfully retarded.

You're doin' it wrong.

Thanks OP, forgot about this game. My DS game buy price is $5 at this point but I added it to my Goozex request Queue. Maybe I'll get lucky and get one with the pointless but cool shiny slipcover.

It looks like Gamestop is quite stocked up on this, should be easy for anyone who wants it to find a copy and be picky about holding out until they find a case.
