uDraw Gametablet $40 @ BB - $50 @ Wally and Amzn

CAGiversary!
The uDraw Gametablet from THQ for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii are all on sale at various retailers. These normally retail for $80. I don't know if this is a temporary sale in time for X-mas or THQ realizing that $80 is a bit much and thus are lowering the SRP. The individual games are also on sale for $30 on Xbox 360 / PS3.

BestBuy $40
Walmart and Amazon $50
Thanks OP. Does anyone own this? I was thinking about buying it for my 2 yr old son to color with.
I'd also like to hear some CAG feedback. I have a 3 year old boy and was thinking about picking this up for Christmas. (PS3 or Xbox)

I have it for the Wii and I think it's pretty nifty. There are games like Pictionary for the adults and it comes with an art game that is great for kids. It's basically a better version of Mario Paint. And if you plan on getting the Wii U, this will give you an idea of what the big new controller feels like.

I've been wanting to get the Xbox 360 version, so I might give in at this price...although I really should wait.

We have the Wii version. It's not bad, but our five year old got bored with it after a few play throughs of the included artist software. Of course, his interest in drawing is limited to seeing how much he can damage the walls with markers or paint. For $40 or so, it's probably worth the risk. I can't speak for the other "games" they released as we never ended up buying any of those.

It's also $50 on amazon right now

I was thinking about getting this for my 4yr old for a while now. Might bite but I just don't know. Planning on buying the 3DS Sunday....

if you are buying it for kids the wii version seems to be the way to go, it has a lot more games- like penguins of Madagascar, disney princess, kung fu panda, and spongebob. The ps3/xbox version only has the marvel game for kids. I dont have a wii any more so I picked up the xbox one earlier today, hoping that the kids games eventually get released.

I have read that games like spongebob and disney princess keep a kids attention quite well, but that the included software isnt so hot for them. Mu daughter really likes the kids kinect games, I think she will also like these.

YEAHHHH!!!!!
My son just told me he wanted this for Xmas (well actually he wants the Marvel game for it) and I just loaded up CAG and saw the lightning deal being live.

Thanks OP! Thanks LD alerting posters!

Hooray!

The Xbox 360 version of the uDraw is really nice. It's wireless with no dongle, thinner, and lighter than the Wii version. The games are also improved over the Wii versions, so forget about the Wii version.

The Instant Artist app that comes with the tablet is pretty good. Extremely easy Achievements too!

Pictionary is extremely fun too, though it's a bit rougher around the edges. Still a must-buy if you have the uDraw and people to play with.

Should I get this for my cousins on the Wii? They're 10 and 14. The 10 year old loves art.

Hopefully someone replies in the next 15 min.

Hmmm - Still available from the LD 2 hours later... I'm tempted but then I bought the Wii one a year ago and gave it to the family for Christmas and we played it like twice. Pictionary was fun but it just seemed like a hassle to get it out to play.

So I'm not sure if getting the PS3 one would be doubling down on my mistake ;). I am wondering if the included drawing software actually has trophies. It must, right? But it looks like there are only 2 other games right now: Pictionary and the Marvel game. And I don't want to spend $30 on either of those. Like the Wii uDraw games, they will probably become Target clearance fodder at some point. I'm waiting on Dood's Big Adventure for the Wii to hit $4.98 there (hopefully next week).

Still, the fact that they pushed this out for 360 and PS3 must mean they intend to support it for a while.

I also love how there isn't a single review of either the 360 or PS3 version. WTF game sites!? It has been out for more than 2 weeks now!
Amazon had it for $40 (lighting deal).....might try waiting to see if
they offer it again.
Yeah, I ended up getting a PS3 one with about 10 minutes left on the deal. I'm going to try to sell my Wii version - should be able to get back that cost at least, hopefully.

It wasn't anywhere close to sold out when it expired so chances are they will run it again (perhaps even cheaper though I hope not ;)).

I've used it on the Wii for Pictionary and it is fun. I recommend purchasing it if you are interested in any of the games for it.

be wary these dont ring up the sale price in store. I was able to pricematch but took forever. Had a cashier that spoke English poorly and she just overall went really slow. Repeating things she said, etc. Yet, I cant get a job there. :/

looks like it went up to 49.99 on Best Buy now, yet the games for it are still all on sale for $29.99. Odd theyd still keep it on sale but jump the price up. I bought the Tablet and 2 games today because I wanted to get in on the bonus 50% trade in bonus on trade ins and thought this wouldnt be on sale after Saturday. But looks like it is. Wonder if I'd be able to get some money back saying id like to do a buy 2 get 1 free.

Oh yeah, the B2G1 - maybe I can snag some games for it now. Though is there anything besides Pictionary for the PS3/360 version?

Looks like the only other thing is the Marvel game. There is one review from a site I've never heard of before but it is favorable:

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/marvel-super-hero-squad-comic-combat

So I can get that and Pictionary. But I'd need a 3rd game for the B2G1...

Edit: D'oh! Problem solved: I forgot I had a Mario Kart 3DS preorder at Best Buy. I'll pick that up and then get the two uDraw games for $29.99 (essentially B1G1 when tacked on to my Mario Kart purchase).

I know, right? Makes me feel great that I can't get hired, but they have plenty of idiots there who can't speak English and don't know anything about electronics.
is this good for a 25 year old stoner? lol
