Comics and Graphic novels, worth it on a tablet?

So I've been pondering getting a Kindle Fire or maybe a Nook Color for use on the road, etc.

I do enjoy Graphic Novels and comics, how good are the apps for these? And how does the cost compare to buying it in paperback form?

I honestly hate reading comics on tablets. I downloaded a few free issues of stuff on my kindle fire and it just sucks. Its basically the same as reading it off a computer monitor, just doesn't feel right and flipping through the panels is slow. You have to constantly zoom in and out of the pages.
I do love the hell out of my e-reader kindle. I use it everyday and just started a new book a few days ago.

I've read quite a few comics on my iPad and I like it just fine. It's not a replacement for reading printed comics, mind, but it does the job and does it conveniently. It's nice to not have to worry about bending covers or anything like that.

Cost-wise, more often than not single issues will cost the same as single issues in print (they usually drop in price after a certain point). Marvel and DC have started including digital copies of (several but not all of) their books in with the print versions, which is a nice bonus.

I can't speak to the Kindle Fire or Nook Color - maybe they don't work as well with comics - but my tablet experience with comics has been just dandy.
