Thinking about getting a 2nd one for the bedroom, but am wondering if it will be worth it. We still can't download our Arcade games, DLC, or games on demand to a 2nd console, right?

To me, that's where Sony was really forward thinking by allowing their games to be shared on 2 consoles. I do 90% of my gaming on Xbox, but I own 2 PS3s because of the game sharing.

I mean, yeah I can play my saved game file on my 2nd Xbox on the cloud, but wouldn't that 2nd game file be lacking (ex. Mortal Kombat missing the DLC fighters)?

If your actively signed in on the gamer tag you bought the content with on the second xbox you'll be fine. You would not be able to use the content on a second account thought like you could on the xbox you originally bought the content on.

I'm not totally understanding. You mean if I'm always signed on to my own gamer tag, I'll be fine? And if yes, is this only for DLC add ons or for full games as well?

You can always go to your download history on your gamertag and download dlc to any Xbox you're tag is signed into.

It's been this way for 6 years.. How did you not know?

I guess I was always under the impression that MS and Sony had completely different DRM policies. For some reason I didn't think what you downloaded could be on 2 separate Xboxes.

I have two xboxes. In order to sign on live, I had to copy my profile to a memory stick. I keep this in whichever Xbox I'm using at the time. It's kind of a pain in the ass tbh.

Here' how XBL DRM works for DLC. On the console that you first download it too, you can use it on any profile on that console, offline or online. On any other consoles you download it, you can use it as long as you're connected to XBL. If you want one XBL profile on more than one console, you can just download your profile to a second console. And XBL Gold has cloud support, so you can sync your save games between consoles.

wow. I can't believe you've gone 6 years without knowing that you can download all your DLC to as many consoles as possible... time to visit some sites and brush up on your 360 knowledge... knowing is half the battle! :p
