so i get the system

System will NOT CHARGE Though system just charger since the System Plug port is busted called nintendo and was told the only way this happens is by a drop of the system. and its no covered. So i contact the seller and they tell me

I can not open a dispute cause her ad is 100% right.. It charges though the charger she never said i can use the SYSTEM itself to charge the system.... You will never get your money back cause i will wait till the last day to respond to the dispute and i will dispute the ruling everything i lose on the last date to dispute the dispute. too bad


So im mostly screwed

I got some vita games with unused passes was a good thing :)

i got a cheap ds game that cost like 30 bucks for 19 complete that was a good thing ..


This just pisses me off that sellers are allowed to fuck people over on ebay and get away with it ... the main person on ebay has already told me i have no grounds to stand on what is total BS
 
Dispute the listing. She can wait till the last day to respond if she wants. Let her keep responding with a poor attitude and eBay will see that she sold a unit that she fully knew was not in "great shape". Good luck.
 
Do you have a link to the listing?

Maybe the seller just didn't make it clear that you can only charge from the dock?

And dispute it anyways.
 
Open a SNAD dispute (Significantly Not as Described) through eBay. You have 45 days to do so from the day you paid. Don't wait till the last minute. When you open the case just say the item does not work properly. You should win and get your money back as soon as you show proof that the item was returned with delivery confirmation. Do not return the item until instructed to do so by eBay.
 
I thought eBay loves buyers, what with sellers getting screwed left and right once a sale is disputed. I think you'l be fine.
 
wow 3 hours on the phone and finally was able to talk to someone who could help me...



they said the case can stay open all the time due to disputes but since i was a customer with them since 2000 They will do a one time credit of 99.99 and make me whole..

but the funny thing is they said i can do anything i want to do with the system or if i win the case with ebay i can do anything i want with the extra cash..

I told them that isnt right and i took their Name and ID number down in case i do win that i dont walk away with 2x the price though she goes They have no problem with that ... I just want to be made 100% back..

So i got my 99.99 back

and if i lose the case i got a system that charges only VIA craddle

IF i win the case I get 200 bucks (100 already) and 100 On the win)

but i already told them if i WIN i want their name and ID so paypal gets their 100 back.

there is no reason i should WIN and walk away with 200 bucks on a 99 buck item

That is why ebay said i will lose cause it DOES charge from the cradle and she never said it charged from the system...... I have filed a dispute
 
well when you list a system in great shape and it comes obviously damaged by the previous owner than that right there is disputable, it seems this person tried to deceive you, if anything the seller did not list a correct ad since this item should be listed as damaged, what was the condition that the seller listed it at? also im assuming you bought a 3ds but what do you mean it would not charge through system? are you talking about the charging dock?
 
she is trying to say the only way to charge a 3ds is though the charging dock..

sort of shocked how fast her chat changed... first she said she would dispute it cause she never said the system could charge by itself.. BUT i just got an email from ebay here is your PREPAID return label...so she must of confirmed it was messed up...


Sucks that im going to have a hell of a time finding another 3ds for 99 bucks with 8 dsiwere games on it

also love how she put GREAT SHAPE yet the bottom screen had 5 major deep scratches on it (what i could of lived with if the system worked right)

Obviously it is not in great shape if it won't charge.
 
Open a dispute. You'll get your money back. eBay and PayPal give no fuck about sellers. Just mention how shady and ambiguous her listing was. And quote her BS about how she will exploit the system to ensure you will not get your money back. What a slimy bitch.

If it doesn't charge, then it doesn't function as intended. File a dispute.

thanks for that.. i was running around with paypal and ebay all last night about this ....and forgot the post .... i got the tracking info to send it back so it seems i did win... funny though the seller says they are sending it in to nintendo to get fixxed for free too bad its flaged as damaged
 
The description for a "Used" ebay item is this:

According to you it's not fully operational and isn't functioning as intended. So there's no reason that you wouldn't win I don't think.

had like 20 download games on it as well most were junk but had 3 or 4 good 8 buck ones.




Now the fun begins of trying to get paypal to take their cash back
 
nice was able to find another one at around the same price...

saying they got it March 8 2012 (so still will be under 1 year warranty) complete
used less then 20 hours in mint shape

TALES of the abyss what i wanted

for 130 shipped

figure get 20 for WORLD knocks it down to 110... would paid 20 to 25 for TALES

knocking the price of the unit down to 90 or so

and if they didnt hook it up to nintendo i can for another 3 months meaning it would half almost a year warrnty on it
