RUMOR: New 3DS Model to be revealed tomorrow at E3

ha ha..."circling."

hopefully it comes in new spanky colors and the price isn't that steep. GS will no doubt run a promo to trade in your 3DS as credit towards the 3DS XL Pro champion arcade edition.

i say price point 199.99

told you last year that a NEW HANDHELD would be shown at E3... :) though i thought it be a new system and not just a upgrade

If gamestop would do a trade in your old 3ds for a 3ds XL for 50 i would in a second..

Trade in your 3ds for a 3ds XL for 100 would be very likely and i dont know if i would

but it probally be trade in your 3ds for the 3ds xl for 129 or 149 knowing Gamestop

A new source leaked that the new redesign will have THREE screens.

I'm interested to see what type of game mechanics developers will come up with.

Take that Vita!

It's a mirror to see behind you as Nintendo fucks you.
Here's what someone over at Gaf is saying (who says it's in production, sounds like they're in the know):
- Higher Resolution
- Bigger Screen
- TFT Screen (little help?)
- Wider Viewing Angle
- 2 Analog Sticks
- As big as the DSiXL or Vita

WTF, no. Thats a rumor thread for any user to post what they expect. Did you even read the title? Unless you were not serious. It looked like you actually believed that.

So no 3DS XL, right?

Heard today's Nintendo E3 was about Wii U, Wii U games, and some 3DS games. I didn't watch the whole thing.
Heard tomorrow's Nintendo E3 was all about 3DS games.

Isn't tomorrow's 3DS press conference an hour long? I doubt they will only talk about games for 1 hour. Must be something hardware related they got to explain that is taking up part of the hour. Either way at least Nintendo is still showing strong support for the 3DS unlike Sony who tried to throw the Vita under the bus.

Did you read the thread? Did you pay attention to everyone else's reactions to his comment in that thread, specifically the moderator whose post I quoted? Did you read what I had to say?

No. Of course you didn't.

man e3 really sucked this year

no ps3 price drop
no 3ds xl (many reports have said it was all lies)

little to no new info on vita games

i say if we dont hear any info today on a 3DS XL it will never come out.... You have to remember the 3ds / DSI is an 8 year old system (since both of these are just upgrades from the DS system)

i mean name one more system out there that is still around from 2004 that is still in current tech systems

got to say in 2013 or 2014 we will see a totally new handheld from nintendo... then again i think the gameboy sp could play Gameboy games and the gameboy came in what 88 and that lasted i think 15 years

If a new one is coming it's got to be super slick IMO...the current design is feeling dated. They really need to update the speed of the menus too...after using the VITA the 3DS feels pretty sluggish. I'm not sure if I'd jump on it...unless I can trade up cheap...but I would also want to transfer all my games over.

If there is no re-design I might jump on that nyko power grip pro with the 2nd analog and extra battery. It looks pretty good for a 3rd party accessory. Nicer than the frankenstick.

has anyone ever seen these 3 or 5 in one game holders at target..

hooks into the back of the DS/3ds and then you push a button what game you want to play... If they worked perfect it would be better then dragging along 5 cases
no ps3 price drop
It is history repeating itself. People were looking for a price drop last year at E3 and didn't get one there either, tho it did happen in August.

I think you are getting confused by the "DS" in the name. 3DS games are not backwards compatible with any of the DS portables. The technical stats on the 3DS are better than a DS. Otherwise, 3DS != DS. It is a new handheld, even if it looks like a DS.

And it is early for a hardware refresh. Typically, Nintendo waits two years to do that. While I found all the rumors fun, I would have been surprised if Nintendo was going to upstage their WiiU reveal with a new 3DS. Not to say it won't happen at some point this year, but it doesn't make sense to do it now.

Wouldn't it be stupid for Nintendo to announce something as big as a 3DS redesign a day after their main E3 conference at some much smaller event?

Eh...considering this event might show up that one, I say go for the fucking Gold!

Kind of sad I've seen enough e3 over the years to recognize keynote speaker body language

Not a bad presser. Maybe all companies can take a note and minimize company presentations to major announcements and hardware and have more focused presentations for software?

Castlevania looks promising. Actually, most of these titles look promising.. this presenter is painful to listen to though.
