It took 2-3 days to reach my location. So far so smooths :)
 
IGN gave it a 5/10 rating, and 2 other press scores gave the game a 6/10. Famitsu gave it a 37, though, so I don't know. But the IGN review is pretty convincing. I'll hold off till $10. I can gamble at $10.
 
Thanks op! Got 1, but won't be playing it until I play Yakuza 4 that I have sitting on the shelf. These huge games comes out faster than I can play them.

If you go off IGN reviews and critic reviews in general,you'll miss on some pretty good games.
 
Thanks. Ordered one. Funny because I told myself yesterday that I would totally buy this game if it hit under $25. Regardless of the reviews, I want to support the Yakuza franchise by buying the game in hopes that #5 will come over.
 
Me too. But you need to buy 4 for 5 to come over, though.

this is the price it should have dropped to with the bb @gamer coupon, but it never did. so their copies sat on the shelf.

Unfortunately, Yakuza Dead Souls is not one of them. The game is pretty bad. I'm a huge fan of Yakuza 3 +4 but they took the same city map, the same graphics, with a combat system that was specifically designed for a button mashing beat 'em up game and replaced that with horrible shooting mechanics along with a story that is paper thin. Seriously, all they did was add zombies , replaced the melee combat with guns and labeled it a new Yakuza game. That doesn't sound so bad except the controls are atrocious.

It's yet another attempt at adding zombies to a game that didn't need zombies. It's getting old TBH. 5/10 is about right.

While I enjoy the series, I have to wait until I track down 2. I've played some of the first, third, and fourth games but want to get two and play them all in a row.
With Dead Souls and Kenzan at the end.

This will be cheaper by the time I can get 2 at my price point.

I hope so too. 1 had the best story and I love the characters in 2.

I ordered this morning and my order got canceled. A bummer, but no biggy. Still have to play Yakuza 4 after all.
 
Damn. I'd been watching this game sit at 39.99 for quite a while just waiting for a sale. Finally happens and I don't get to it in time. I wonder how many copies they actually had.

Not confirmed for North America yet, and if so it'd be digital most likely. The swearing in the dubbed version of 1 was amusing but having played 3 others without that, I'd prefer subtitles (and I rarely prefer this in these instances) to be more consistent.
 
i got an email thanking me for my order but no game, so i went on their site and it said the game was cancelled. woulda been nice to be told. calling CS now to see if I can get it at that price since its indeed in stock.

I got fooled by the email myself. It thanks you for your order then says it's canceled further down.
