PSone Classics: Compatible with Old Game Saves?

Hey all,

I just got a Vita a few days ago (BB $50 gift-card for CoD Bundle).
Is there any way I can extract my game saves for FF7/FF8 for use with the PSone Classic version of the games acquired through the PSN Store?

I know there's an official "Memory Card" adapter for PS3 that lets you transfer saves from physical cards to virtual cards.

Can a virtual PSone card be used with the PSone Classics from the PSN Store?

If you use the memory card adapter for PS3 to transfer the save to your PS3, you can move that save to your Vita to use with that game. The same is true for PS1 saves created on the PS3 itself.
