Ok, so I've made 3 recent orders with ebgames.com

Here's the order date, their ship date, and the actual tracking ship date.

4/22 4/25 4/25

understandable, it was over the weekend

4/23 4/25 4/27

WTF? so because it was ordered on saturday, it shipped on wednesday, but they told me it was monday? That's gay.

4/26 4/26 4/28

Ok...so ordering on tuesday at 6am takes 2 days to ship out? Yeah, they're gonna be getting a real nasty phone call from me. This is just rediculous.

I wouldn't be quite as pissed if they didn't lie about the shipping. Come on people...

so you think its wrong of me to expect that when I get an e-mail saying that my item is shipped, that it's actually shipped 2 days later?

Yes, it is wrong to have those expectations. When they say it is shipped it means they have sent the info to the carrier to expect your package.

I haven't bought from EBgames.com before, but at the company where I work, you can get the shipping information from UPS or FedEx without having the package actually ready to go.

So we could print a packing slip and actually bill it with UPS and then not pack the box and ship for several days. If they fill out your email address in the software, you get the tracking number and that the billing information has been received. From there, it might take several days to get that box packaged and ready to go.

I don't know if that's what happened to you, but it is certainly possible.

I really don't like it when this kind of thing happens either, but the best you can do is call and complain. Tell them that you are so unhappy that you will never shop with them again. When I worked at Pizza Hut years ago, that was the last thing we were told to hear. At that point, we were supposed to do anything we could to make the customer happy. I have used that several times with other businesses and it usually will get you some resolution. Maybe something free, or a discount or anything that will get you to come back.

If it was actually shipped in the window that was provided int he shipping option you picked, there is really nothiing to complain about. Also, opportunity is correct, they tell you it was shipped once the notification goes out to UPS or whatever, that the package is ready to be picked up and delivered. This is pretty common.

If they shipped it in the window, then they will laugh at you and tell you it was shipped in time, and they will be right. If you wanted it that fast you should have paid for overnight.

Especially when they see the order consisted of $5 games ;)

yeah, it wasn't all $5 games, and 2 of them totalled over $100. The only one that shipped on time was the one that was just a copy of Eternal Ring. (the first one)

When i ship an order out from ebay. I dont print the shipping label and ship a few days later. If a regular joe like me doesn't do that i dont expect a multi million dollar company to either. USPS, picks up packages every day. If they shiped it out on wednesday it prolly means they didn't have enough workers packing and shiping them out.

I totally disagree. You shouldn't call up and be pissy at some poor, underpaid customer service rep just because you have unrealistic expectations for when your items are shipped. Calling up and bitching at them in the hopes that you can get some sort of freebie out of it is just a dickwad thing to do.

I second that. I've ordered tons of stuff from EB Online. Sometimes it ships faster than other times, but in all instances, I received my stuff in a timely manner. If you wanted your items sooner, you could have used overnight shipping, and paid thru the nose. If you used SAVER shipping, they can take up to 2 weeks with the Post Office. Have a little more patience.

I paid for shipping because I didn't want to use SAVER and have a slow order processing time. All I'm really upset about is the fact that they lied to me. I understand the delay, even if I think its bullshit. But don't tell me something shipped out on monday, and have the post office pick it up on wednesday. That's bad business.

You poor thing. How will you ever survive.

I think, however, that enough people in this thread have explained the actual shipping process and why there is a span of time between the shipping confirmation and the actual shipment. If it had been an unreasonably long delay that would be one thing, but a couple days is par for the course.

EB has some of the fastest shipping of any internet company I've used. That's the last thing I'd complain about concerning them. They usually ship Priority USPS to me which takes less than 3 days even though they're not required to.

The free saver shipping is actually quite fast and reliable in my experience. While the site may say 10-15 day delivery time, I've often received packages within a few days or a week at most. Don't be afraid to take advantage of free shipping next time.

Now that I don't understand. Cause whenever I choose the Saver shipping(which I'm guessing you did) and order before 9 a.m., it'll be charged and shipped out before 3 p.m. that afternoon. Unless the items that you had went out of stock that day, there's something odd about that.

I can see your aggrivation, but I agree with most everyone else. You probably still got your package within EBs quoted timeframe. So, I don't think they will feel too bad for you. More often than not, I get supersaver shipping in less than 5 days. I would expect that you do too. In every one of those cases, you have been lied too but noone ever complains about those. Just be happy that you normally get it quick.
