Dead Rising 2: OtR or Dead Rising 2?

I've been wanting to play one of these, but I have no intention on playing both since they both sound pretty similar. I was curious if anyone seems to prefer one over the other?
The main thing I'm looking for is a good coop experience, but I'll like to hear other thoughts about each game as well.

OTR has sandbox mode, which IMO makes it the better game.

What waldo21212 said, OTR has sandbox mode which you can co op and you can also co op the story too.

OTR has more combo weapons and a new section in the map (alien theme park).

I recommend playing both if you have a chance. Storywise, there are differences, but mainly 80% is the same.

I've played both and they're mostly the same game.  OTR has a few extra weapons, a new location, slightly different story at the end, a couple extra psychos, and sandbox mode.  While DR2 has the dumbest online versus I've ever played.  Easy choice, OTR.

If you haven't played either; Play Off the Record. If you already played Dead Rising 2; don't play Off the Record.

They're both the same game, you play through the game similarly. The Survivors and the same and etc. The Map is the same except for 1 area.

The game is really fun bashing some slow zombies with random items though.

I disagree with the "dumb" DR2 multiplayer. I had a lot of fun with the jackass style minigames.
