Does anyone know if there is a pattern to the 20x points at SDM? Is 20x the best you can get on electronics? I was thinking about picking up a Vita for myself. When I bought my son's (near launch) we got it at SDM on a 20x day, so I'd like to do that again.

Seems to me they also have your points are worth double days too, would be nice to catch one of those.

So anything like how many times per year, when last was, roughly when next will be, etc.

Just noticed their site you get 18,500 for spending $75+ this week. So if you spend exactly $75 that is a 25x bonus.

Also just read from googling around that you get the points on gift cards. So maybe I'll load on gift cards for things I am going to buy in the next while anyway. I am not sure if you can make multiple purchases of $75 or not... they tell you how many points you get on each receipt, so I am going to go find out.

Ok, so that 18,500 deal doesn't start until this week. But when I was scouting I realized they have gift cards for Esso and Petro Can. I spend $200 a month on gas, so if you can do this deal multiple times, I am going to really load up. So hopefully they don't flag your card so you only get the deal once. Anyone know the answer to that? I am now obsessed with getting a free Vita off gas cards.

EDIT: offer excludes gift cards... shit.

Yeeeep, no points at all on gift cards, bonus, or otherwise. Or it'd be a massively easy exploit.

Just spent my points last weekend on a Wii U Pro Controller. Hooray, free.

 
I have enough points to get a vita, but the one store I found that still carried them during the spend your points days was selling it for $250 instead of the $199 that it should be. This was well after the price drop was announced and having checked a few more stores, all of them say that they haven't had any vitas in since last christmas.

Hopefully they will start getting more in around the holidays this year, but I am really disappointed as I was hoping to get a vita sooner. I also wish they didn't consider psn cards gift cards. meh.

They seem to be having bonus point days a lot more often, and I also noticed that they change the limit from $75 to $50 to get the points pretty often as well.

 
I did confirm that shoppers gift cards do result in points. But I don't know if you get bonus points when you buy them, or when you use them.

Did you try to get them to scan it? I got my Vita on the super points day for 199

 
On stuff like electronics, does the system set the price, or is that done by the store manager? As far as electronics go, SDM stock varies wildly from store to store, so I assumed that stuff was left to manager's discression.

Yes they do, or at least some locations do.

Saturday is 20x points day and tomorrow is 20% off day (if you signed up for their emails) Tuesday (when it came out) they also had spend $75 get 18500 points which = $25 bucks. So plenty of good deals on the game from them this week.

 
Is there anyway short of phoning around to check stock at SDM? It would be nice for searching for games, and also I have enough Optimum points for a Vita, but can't find a store with a Vita in stock. The stores that did have them, have had empty spots on the Vita shelves for a couple months now... maybe they will get them in for Xmas.
