New forum search feature is a major step backwards

Just wanted to register a couple of complaints on the new "improved" forum search feature:

1. The "search as you type" is too aggressive, and buggy. I've seen it get stuck showing no results when it kicked in too early and missed the rest of the text I've entered in the field. It also doesn't help that the progress indicator that pops up when a search is in progress covers the search field.

2. The results seem worse than before. Previously, when you performed a search, it gave you a list of topic matches, sorted by most recent post containing the term. Clicking the title of the thread took you to the post containing the search term, with that search term highlighted. Now, I'm not sure what it's sorting by, but I'm getting some pretty old topics bubbling up to the top. Also, clicking an entry now takes you to the first post of the thread, so I have to do additional searching/scanning to find the relevant post, if it even exists.

Additional comment on point #2 - it looks like it's searching only for thread titles, not post contents. Boo-urns.

That search wasn't supposed to be enabled, it looks like it's arbitrarily turned itself on. I've disabled it. 

Not pertaining to the search function and I didn't want to start a new thread(or if it's been mentioned yet) but a feature to remove the topics you have posted in from the my content section would be great I hate that it just clutters up and your notifications just fill up with every new post that is made in a topic you posted in is there a way to remove this?

You can easily unfollow the content from the Followed Content page.

Thanks for the reply Cheapy! And that was helpful,but I was talking about for the my content section not the content I follow section anyway to get the toggle edit option on that page?
