Bravely Default $33.99 non-GCU/$27.21 with GCU at Bestbuy

I can get it for $7.xx after my $20 reward cert.

Time for some backlog soul searching...

How good is this game from the perspective of someone who's favorite FF was IX?

What is the battle system like?
It's in the name. The battle system revolves around BP- which allows you to do something during a turn. You can save up BP by using Default, which lowers the attack damage also. If you use Brave you can use more than one BP during a turn up to 4. This allows you to use multiple attacks but also costs you how many turns you used up by using BP. It's pretty great. There are also a lot of classes to choose from.

In - have a $10 cert and a $15 GC from that B2 PS4/X1 game promo making it a cool 3.26 out of pocket.

Damn, just bought this on Amazon when it was on sale there (ended up being 50 cents cheaper at the time).

Just picked up the CE at BBY yesterday.  No idea where it came from as it wasn't there last week.

I really loved the game at first but the problems really bugged me by the 3rd and 4th acts.

By the end of the game I was sick of it.

I heard this game has a cliche/bad story with the only typical JRPG trope not included being amnesia.
Edit: apparently there is a character with amnesia LOL

I used to love JRPG's but their story's have been so bad lately and they reuse the same cookie cutter stuff (like amnesia).

game is great up to chapter 5 and then its the same back tracking crap from chapter 6-8 (you have to beat all 4 crystals again every chapter)

and then when you get the ninja job- red mage job you can put the game on auto and win 90% of all fights

great game but its busted in some spots

WTF i was looking in my game room and see that i have 3 copies of the le (1 open 2 sealed) how the hell did i get 3

The collector's edition may be a separate issue, but for a plain vanilla copy, I'm going to wait until at least $20...

Sub-$30 is a awesome price for the game :D Yes, it does get a little repetitive near chapter 5, but I still really enjoyed it. Great for JRPG fans!

Awesome, with GCU and a $10 promo code I received due to our Frozen preorder taking so long to get to us I got this for about $18 and change. :)
