Constantine TV Series?

LOL It really looks like a joke. Like a fanmade trailer.
yeah i agree, doesn't look good at all. it will probably be cancelled in a season, since it is nbc( they actually care about viewership ratings, UNlike CW). after all. if it is lucky, and it will end it in 2 seasons.

Dang.  I saw this was coming to TV, and was hopeful.  I enjoyed the movie (never read the comics so have no basis for comparison to anything else).  I didn't really think I had expectations for it, but that trailer did not meet whatever expectations I apparently had.  Didn't seem too well acted, considering I thing Keanu Reeves did a better job acting in the movie.

Keanu Reeves doesn't even set the bar too high, so this was mega-disappointing.

I know networks are trying to compete with superhero shows now, but this just won't stand up to Arrow. Probably not Gotham either.

Holy hell! Bruno Heller's taking Gotham? It's going to have a strong start.

I'm guessing this has nothing to do with the movie right?
well it technically does relate to the movie somewhat, since the movie is based on the comic char, so is the tv show. i personally do not read comics. i am also not the biggest fan of the movie with Keanu Reeves. from the trailer, it reminds me of the tv show supernatural for some reason

I was thinking it was looking a bit like Supernatural as well...just not as good.

Supernatural was damn good in Season 1. It became total crap as it continued. If it reminded me of Season 1, then I'd be excited about it but it looks like Season 4-whatever, so no.

I gave Supernatural a chance and I'll give this a chance too. I hope it doesn't disappoint me as much.

My wife got me watching Supernatural after Season 4 or 5 or so.  We still watch it all the time.  I'm glad when they do some of their non-storyline episodes and get back to the basics of hunting monsters.

The Constantine trailer looks similar to the movie, where he finds someone who is recently able to see the dead, etc, but I imagine he might run into those people a lot.

i agree, i think i stop watching supernatural mid season 3.

I wanted to believe that it could work, but in retrospect, there was no way after season 2. I should have stopped at 2, but Katie Cassidy brought me back. Then they got some random girl to take her place. She didn't even get the mannerisms right. No Katie Cassidy + bad writing just did it for me. Can you imagine if they kept Katie Cassidy? I would have watched a few more crappy seasons. lol

I think it looks decent  I'll be watching

yeah supernatural after season 5 or 6 has just sucked shit and now they're doing a spin-off

Ha. The spin-off episode was so bad that even viewers who have watched the worst seasons hated it. lol

It's not getting picked up.

Honestly, though, the outline for the original show was from David Nutter. The more it departed from Nutter's concept, the more it sucked.

Constantine should have gotten Nutter to direct. That way they could at least have a real chance.

i am surprised the CW cancelled the spin off series. since they really don't put much emphasis on viewership, that is why supernatural went on for 5-6 seasons. if it was like NBC/ABC/FOx, it would be canned probably mid second season, and left the viewers with unaired episodes to be bundle later in dvd release. LOL

Supernatural is still going on and is in it's 9th season and has been renewed for a 10th season. Viewers were 3.8 million the first season, which was the highest it's been, but after that the audience has been averaging over 2.5 million per season.

It's NBC, so there are chances they'll can it quickly if it doesn't get traction in the first few episodes.  I hope it'll make it through to the winter break, at least, though a full season, I'll be surprised.

NBC should put it either before or after Grimm on Fridays and have an anchor with Grimm, since that's going strong into Season 4.
