Time for a new AV receiver. Should I go Onkyo or other?

Price isn't an object, but honestly I don't feel a receiver is worth $1000. My last two receivers were Onkyo, so now I'm currently looking at the TX-NR636 or TX-NH737 (link is a comparison on Crutchfield), but other than the price, I'm not seeing that big of a difference between the two. Anyone have any experience with either or these models? Or can suggest a similiar type of receiver from another brand?

Only two differences I can see:

1) The 636 is a 95 watt per channel receiver, the 737 is a 110 watt per channel receiver.  The 737 will have more power to drive the sound, though for most people, it won't make much difference.

2) The 737 has three room/three-source output where the 636 has two room/two-source output.  For most people, they don't need more than one output.

Besides the increase in the model number from the "6" to the "7" at the end of the model number which would show a generational improvement in some fashion, I think the 636 will be more than sufficient.

Thanks. I ultimately decided on the 636 but not until after a $50 discount sale on several prominent websites had ended.

Now I'm looking around elsewhere but am extremely weary of the third party sellers on Amazon and Ebay.
