Absolutely! But you would probably want to spend the addition money and upgrade to the PS4, which will have quite a lot of good games coming out in the 1st quarter of 2015. All of the top developers are making games for it now anyways. And unless your Fat PS3 isn't working anymore, I would spend that money on the PS4 instead.
