Hey all,

Have a Ps4 which pretty much renders my ps3 useless sans the times I watch movies on a USB stick, which I could just do with my laptop and an HDMI cable.

I have a GTA 5 Edition 500gb PS3 with two dual shocks, someone is offering me 185 cash for it. Is that the best I can get? What's the general return on a 500gb ps3?

What's a quick way I can turn that into a Vita?

The PS3 games will just be mass traded in to best buy as I don't want the hassle of dealing with it one by one. No luck selling the games and console as a bundle.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't jump into anything until you do some research first. Check both eBay and Amazon for prices on the PS3 you have. That way you have a general gauge on how much to ask for it. Having the box and all will raise the value too so keep that in mind. Also make sure you look at the listings for the 500 gig hard drive ones as there are various sizes floating about.

Selling it on eBay, outright or an auction, will probably net the most money even with the fees that PayPal and eBay deduct.

I also understand wanting to hurry and get rid of it, but remember you paid good money for it so try to get the most that you can.

As far as the Vita goes you have a few options there too. Amazon Warehouse deals (there used seller) sometimes has open box new Borderlands 2 bundles for 150ish. A lot of CAGs say that they get them and they look brand new.

A second route is Cowboom. They have used Vita's and if you keep an eye in the site you can snag one for a good deal. Just be mindful of the description and all as sometimes they sell consoles etc without cords etc.

Either of those routes can get a Vita for a good price, and both have good return policies. If you want to go with Amazon there is a dedicated Warehouse deals thread in the video game deals section where members post links to good deals. They (Vita's) usually sell pretty dang fast though.

One other alternative, if you wanted to trade the PS3, would be to check the trading section of the forums here on CAG.

Make a thread asking for a Vita, and what all you would need ie: memory card and all, and offer the system in return. As long as it's an established trader seller you should he fine. :)

First things first though, get on eBay and check listings and ended listings for the Playstation 3 that you have to see what you have on your hands.

Good luck my fellow CAG. :)
