Well, think about what works for you. Do you just have to remember the names or are you matching names to a map? If the latter, get a map, cut the countries out and stick them on flash cards. If it's just names, I'd memorize the number there are (so you know if you misses any,) then work on memorizing them in alphabetical order.

I'd also start by memorizin regions I think thats easier, like hit up the north coast, then east coast, south, west. Then work your way inside

study right before you go to sleep too-- i hear you can retain info better that way. then, as soon as you wake up, start studing again-- devote it all to just reading the names over and over like a mantra. this technique has never failed me-- I usually use it for multiple choice tests and end up in the high 90s most of the time.

If it's a long test, you're apt to forget the answers by the end, though. That's why it helps to write down info you know you'll need in a margin of the test right at the start, so when you do forget, you'll still have the answers.

Yeah I do this a lot on long exams as well. Stuff tends to run together and get mixed up towards the end.

Zambiland is not a country, so you can forget that one.

Eat some African food while you study. All you have to do is get a bowl and it will be instantly filled with African food (also referred to as nothing with air sauce).

Ritalin and / or adderal. I had a geography class where I had to memorize every country / capital, but it was only a continent at a time. I was able to do it with word associations, but if someone is having a tough time, definitely ritalin / adderal.
