Sega Saturn RAM Cart $15.95

racketboy

CAGiversary!
Hey guys

Just wanted to see if anybody here was interested in a 1MB/4MB RAM cart.

You can check the link for more info and I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have.
Shipping is only $3.50 to anywhere in the world.

Happy gaming!

edit: I should have posted this in the Dealing forum -- could somebody move this?

I dont really know if you are just trying to hawk shit or what(okay I know you are), but I would think any real Saturn owner would already own the 4mb cart. ;)

I'm not just here to sell stuff.
I've been a lurker here for a while since I'm all about getting good deals on stuff.
But I look forward to sharing my knowledge here as well (see my other posts)

I've been into classic gaming for quite a while and, many times, enjoy talking about games more often then actually playing them :)

I figured if there is a forum for selling, I would be welcome to do so. If not, I apologize. But like I said, I plan on staying around here because I enjoy sharing my knowledge and this board has an excellent mix of users and interesting topics.

Ignoring the mod chips and all, in regards to the 1MB/4MB RAM Cart, is it simply a RAM Cart or does it also need the mod chip in order to play imports? I'm curious because my friend has been dying for one and I've pointed him over to NCSX and their Pro Action Replay for around $32 shipped but if he could find something less expensive and all, he would be ecstatic.

Sometimes I just wish he would drop the extra money and pick an option already, though. Yeesh...the PAR isn't getting any cheaper.
Per the Trading guidelines console mods are not to be sold at CAG. Also promoting your commercial site is frowned upon here without prior approval from the mods.
Ok -- I took out the modchip part.
Sorry 'bout that

Who do I talk to in particular about my site.
I guess I never thought about it as being a "commerical site".
I just got my .com like a week ago :)
It's just like a little hobby of mine.

anyway, I'm sorry for any trouble this has caused.

This cart won't boot imports - it's just for playing the games that require the extra RAM. It's good for modded system on which you can play ISOs that have the region patched.

Check out my Sega Saturn Guide to Playing Imports for more info.

if your friend does get an action replay, make sure it is the "Plus" one that includes the RAM -- otherwise, he may regret it.

Thanks!

No trouble at all. In fact I'm eyeing one of those RAM carts you have.
Gee I guess I am a fake Saturn owner
Me too. It's kind of sad to discover on a message board that with two systems and 50+ games I'm still not a real owner.

hey i've dealt with this guy before and i couldn't be happier with all the help he gave me and stuff -- i definitely recommend his site

Why does everyone get uptight about mods for systems that are not being produced any longer. I could understand mods for the current systems being banned because developers are making money on new games. But for the saturn and dreamcast, no one is producing any more newgames. Just dont understand all of the hate towards mods on older systems. Who is loosing money.

that's my thoughts, but I'll abide by the rules.
but feel free to visit my site.
I combine shipping on everything.

don't recognize your user name -- but thanks!
(I'm sure if I saw your email or name, i'd know you ;))

If I see people selling Model 2s for a decent price on message boards, etc I usually post it on my blog. Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed

I haven't dealt with him personally but have heard nothing but good things (dcforums.net). Which is an excellent DC community by the way. Nice job on the web page also.
thanks -- I appreciate it :)
I should check up on the DC Forums sometime soon :)
yes you should

I see none of the mods have chimed in yet so I will.

Our members have already pointed out the mod-chip rules so I'll leave that alone. With regards to advertising your site here, you want to contact CheapyD. He is the keeper of all things CAG.

That being said (takes mod hat off) I must announce that am a true gamer. I already own a 4 meg ram cart and had a region switch installed in my Saturn back when it was still a mainstream system. As a gamer I have to say thanks for these links. It's hard enough to find decent Saturn resources. I just might pick one of those mem cards up as a backup. I'd die if one day my Xmen vs. Street fighter didn't boot...

Thanks for the info, daphatty.
BTW, I hear ya about the X-Men vs. Street Fighter --- it's one of the reasons I got my Saturn :)

so that ram cart your selling allows you to play XmenVS SF and Marvel vs SF on US systems, or is it just for RAM, and you need the hardware mod to play imports? I've been looking to pick up a saturn and those games again, as I foolishly sold them off to pay for college books one year.. I don't miss the books one bit.. I miss those games and my saturn a ton.

It's just the RAM
You'll need another way to play imports.
I use a modchip combined with a region patcher.
Works like a charm!

MOD EDIT: I'm not sure if you've contacted CheapyD yet but I had to edit out the URL to the illegal stuff. Cheapy needs to anoint his blessing on both the legal and "gray" area stuff you offer. I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass but rules are rules.

Goddamn you SOA for not translating and bringing out all of the awesome Jap imports. Curses!!!:twoguns:

i'm trying to start up a store myself selling used games. I have way too many and decided to sell them. I don't have a dot com yet i'm just trying to test the waters. so free bump.

Hey OP, checked out your site, and all I can say is... Me likey! I've been lookin for a Saturn for a while now (had one back in the day, with like 40+ games, but sold it all to gamestop in order to get an N64 and 3 games, and still had to pay a lot for it. I regret that all the time now). As soon as I get one, you will most def. get my buisiness.

Thanks for all the good info.
