Ever had a points card code not work for you?

Just picked up a new points card at Circuit City today but after three tries I keep getting an invalid code message. Can't find any help on the website. Anyone have trouble with this that has any suggestions?
 
neither works. ive had microsoft tell me over the phone that the card is vaild, despite it not working on my machine. they wouldnt credit my account, but they gave me a phone number to fax my card to. i never did fax it because im lazy.
 
Thanks. At least I know its happened before. I finally found some contact info on the site so I'm working that route right now.
 
Got in touch with the xbox help line and it is indeed an invalid code. Wouldn't work for them either. So I'm armed with the call reference number to see if CC will replace it. Good idea on taking a picture of the invalid code message. Thanks for all the input.
 
Happened to me before. Called MS and they basically had me enter it in some ass backwards way... would tell you what it was but it was so long ago I can't remember.
