Price drop or new colors coming soon?

I'm on the verge of finally getting a PSP but don't want to buy one if theres a price drop or alternate colors coming out soon. Anyone know of any rumors?

I haven't heard of any. There are rumors of a PSP2 coming out, but I don't think that is going to be anytime soon.

import a white psp...it's worth the extra few bucks (unless you plan to watch UMDs.) the buttons and D-pad are better, and the smudges aren't as noticeable.

Ya thanks everyone : ) White was really what I was interested in, but will I still be able to play U.S./ JP games on it even if it's a European model? Or do you thinkt hey might employ some region lock( for games) in the future if there isn't one now?

From what I heard, the reason Sony doesn't do multiple colors because they know certain SKUs will be favored over the other, and they don't want to deal a certain SKU not selling as well.

Anyway, it doesn't bother me, since black is my favorite color for a handheld/console. I really don't like the color white at all, so even if I could get a white PSP, I would not.

PSP's are region free so a European PSP will play everything from the US, Japan, and Europe. The only place you'd run into problems is UMD movies because with a European PSP you could only watch European UMD movies... but that's not why you're buying the system (I hope.)
