They are very similar games, but just playing the demo, it seems to me that Mutant Storm has more variety and seems more interesting.

Can someone who has both full versions chime in and tell me which they like better and why?

I have both and actually prefer mutant storm. Although mutant storm is a little easier than GW I find the gameplay less repetitive than GW.

Thanks for the feedback. You know, I have another friend who told me he likes Mutant Storm better. Which is what lead me to post this, because I constantly hear how everyone loves Geometry Wars.

I have both, and I'll tell you why Geometry Wars is better. It has nothing to do with how much either game costs. It has everything to do with the fact that Geometry Wars isn't broken up into levels like Mutant Storm Reloaded. I feel like Mutant Storm tried to do to much, where Geometry Wars excelled at simplicity. Geometry Wars also has better enemies, more intense gameplay, and has a very, very addictive quality to it.

My reasoning may not be the best, because it's hard to put a finger on, but Geometry Wars is much, much better. It's the first game that made me care about my score in like 10 years.

I prefer Geometry Wars, it's very clean and simple and the game has no load times at all - where as Mutant Storm has to load between every level.

I have them both and like them both. They are very similar in game play mechanics but different in that Geometry wars feels more intense and more frenitic (it is more likely to give you epileptic seizures). Mutan Storm has two player mode and has a little deeper one player mode. After playing through Mutant Storm, I haven't been really motivated to play it anymore, but I play geometry wars from time to time. BOth have insanely difficult achievements....few people in the world probably have all the achievements for both....I know I am no where close.

Geometry Wars> Mutant Storm

i think it looks better, and is muchhhh harder to play..i love the challenge, but am easily pissed by this game. it looks clean and just seem like a better purchase(also it being cheaper)

Either way, that's just my opinion.

I just like the looks of mutant stom looks good on the HD where geometry wars its just a couple of lines both are fun. I just like the bosses and the effects.

I ended up buying mutant storm. I like the larger variety. Yes the load times suck, but geometry wars just seems to be the exact same thing faster and faster, and most games in under 3 minutes. (glad it doesn't take quarters).

Minus the load times, I've decided Mutant Storm is better.

I prefer Geometry Wars because Mutant Storm is supposed to have MUTANTS. What's with all the shapes and whatnot? Geometry Wars delivers on the geometric shapes, why doesn't Mutant Storm pony up with the mutants?

Am I crazy or wasn't the Mutant Storm on the PC some dude with a gun surrounded by mutants running at him? (hmm... I may be crazy. Can anyone tell me what game I'm thinking of?)
