Madden Midnight Sale, tournament at gamestop

I personally don't care about Madden, and I bet those that do have it pre-ordered at a good price, but Gamestop (maybe EB?) is having a Midnight Sale of Madden, staying open Monday until after 12:00 AM Tuesday to release the game (at least in my area, Northern CA). I believe the store has a tourny of some sort for a $15 Gift card. Might be my area only, but thought I'd post just in case. I couldn't find it anywhere on here, so sorry if it's been posted before.

All Game Crazys are having Midnight Madness sales, also in september we are having a tourament and the winner gets a Madden faceplate that you can only get by winning this tournament.

The guy that called my from Gamestop said you get a free copy of the game....unless I heard him wrong....but he said this tournament would start monday at 1PM....

All the GameStops are doing something a bit different, but yeah, the basic jist is there's a tourney SOMETIME and you're going to win SOMETHING.

The EB in Ridgeland MS is having one and the winner gets your choice of Madden 07 on any platform.

At my Game Crazy we had a tournament last Saturday where the winners of each game tournament won a copy of Madden 07 (either regular or CE) on the system of their choice.

The tournament next month I was talking about is from EA (not sure if it is GC only but thats the way the District manager made it sound) where the winner gets a Madden 07 faceplate that you can't get anywhere else.... well until one of the winners puts it on ebay.

Is this one of those MVP only tournaments or is it open to the public?
