Yeah, I realize what your gonna say, but this seems to be the pravalent factor in christinaity today... People who say they 'love' people, then go around judging everyone...

Who gave them a right to judge?

I'm literally sick and tired of today's christians. They've done nothing but judge when they should SHUT THE fuck UP, esp. when they do worse shit.

Maybe if they actually spent one moment learning from Jesus instead of filling their heads with hatred they would've learned a thing or two...
 
So this is just a rant about how you hate Christians?

Just because you had one bad experience doesn't mean all Christians are like that.

Do the worst thing you could do to your parents. Tell them you're a Liberal or Gay or perhaps that's why you're going to Hell, for not telling people what they should do.
 
Funny, you make a thread about people judging other people too much is bad. Then you turn around and judge an entire religion based on your family's actions, a group that probably doesn't even make up 0.000000001% of that religion's followers. Maybe they were right about the hypocrite part...

Well in defense of him if they're REALLY bad I suppose it may be very hard not to become jaded and think that, even just a bit. I mean of course if they're Fundamental to the point of being psychotic.

My beef isn't against every christian, it's against, as you said, the fundamental conservative christians who think they were put here on earth by God to cleanse to 'evil' on it.

Sadly, it seems that's the majority of christians from what I can see :whistle2:\

I don't know if you realize this, or not... but people judge other people. (You know, kinda like what you just did, guised "deep" in your post.)

Often times, people use their religion for ulterior benefits, to keep people in line -- in the "man-made" lines, that is.

It's safe to say that, although you're pretending to be righteous, you're hurt that your family would say this. Now, if you don't believe in the Christian God, you don't have to worry about going to Hell, right? Also, if your family insists you're going to Hell, why not stop communicating with them? Or are you weak on both of these fronts?

Again, we see another teenage angst topic from you, contradicting the prefix of your username.

Truly know what you're mad at, (see: yourself) before you start spouting off at anyone and everyone.

You were correct, with the topic title, in calling your family "Christian" (with the quotations), but incorrect in generalizing all Christians within your topic.

You must have quite some skewed worldview when you categorize the majority of a group that makes up about 95% of the U.S. population as "fundamental conservatives."

Oh, and your posts certainly seem to be bashing all Christians for the actions of a minute few, which is incredibly stupid.

And finally, you claim to abhor Christianity yet suggest Christians listen to Jesus, a strange incongruity in your "logic." Ever heard "judge not, lest ye be judged"? Surely not considering your blanket insulting statements about Christians.

Once again, I don't make my posts clear enough. I'm too impatient, I post too quickly (A bit different from... what that is). I have problems with the conservate christians who make up the majority, and if you look up polls, they do.

You can turn on christian tv and you get this propoganda shit.

You can go to their conservative churches and listen to the end times, or part of it and then buy their book.

It gets maddenly frustrating.

Which of course, I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't turn around and call this generation a 'hellbound generation', or point at everyone who isn't one of them and say they are going to hell, etc.

You guys want to know why I'm so pissed at conservative christians? I'm a liberal christian, and it seem every day some fucking conservative christian is telling me I'm going to hell for my beliefs.

God, if Im going their, can't wait to see them...

Ummm where are you finding these polls that list them in the majority, FOX News? Dude there's a church around our area that has a Gay Choir Director so I really don't see this everywhere bit and I live in the Midwest where a lot of these people are. Let me put it this way, I live in Brownback country.

There are lots of kinds of Christians OP. (See this is what's wrong with angry teens on the internet...they don't even know what they're fighting against. 10:1 he's a "hot topic goth" or "hot topic punk" or a "hot topic goth punk")

My half-sister's family is devout, but their church is a lot more lenient and believe in a loving God that forgives your sins when you die....none of this heaven and hell shit.

I was raised reform-jewish though, so now that I'm in my 20s, I just don't think about religion at all. :p

No, it's more or less what I've said.

I grow tried of repeating the reasons why I said these things. I would now say that the people coming in to post don't read, but then you'd say I was sterotyping against everyone who does...

Well, religion requires believing in something without proof (hence the "faith"). You can't really expect religious people to act rationally.

They believe some invisible power wants them to live their life a certain way; the exact way changes according to both religion and interpretation, as does the penalty for noncompliance. And since they choose to believe it despite any evidence, it's generally pointless to argue with them. They'll even refuse to accept any scientific facts that don't agree with their fantasies, from the fact that the earth is round to evolution or the age of the universe.

We enlightened folk generally find it hard to believe how delusional people can be, or what they're willing to do to others in the name of their delusions.

At least it's no longer socially acceptable for christians to actively burn heretics at the stake.
 
hey, if it makes you feel better, my 3rd grade teacher told me that my entire family was going to hell because they're buddhists. man, i got spanked when i got home and told my parents that i was the only one in my family who is going to heaven, hahahahahaha.

This kind of stuff can get a teacher suspended or fired, and with good reason.

because they thought i'd get a better education there. and they thought it'd be a good way for me to assimilate since i barely spoke english (yeah, i was born in the us, haha).

my parents had nothing against catholics but...well, i can see why i got spanked. if my third grader came up to me and told me that i was going straight to hell, i'd probably beat the shit out of her too, haha.

I went to a private Baptist school for kindergarten... and my family isn't even Baptist (or that religious).

A rough way to start off the education experience.

I loved it when we played Bible Jeopardy, and I didn't know a single fuckin' answer... naturally, because I was young and new to the world of education, not knowing the answers made me feel like I was the dumbest kid in class.
 
So, back on topic, are you enjoying hell ? Are there any good social groups to join? I'll bet they throw a heck of a barbeque, eh ?
