****rumor****tru Wii Shipment On 12/22!!!

A better question is, will they sell them when they get this shipment? Or will they hold on to them for sunday or maybe even after christmas sells? :cry:
 
My brother and i are going to camp out and get a wii hopefully...but i have never seen i bundle being enforced in store but you never know

That would be the dumbest thing ever if they intentionally held off on selling then until after the holiday rush.
 
Hmmm so it looks like there will be thousands (I wonder how many each store will get) and you will have to buy the same bundles they offer on the wbsite. I guess they figure "we're giving you a last second chance to put a Wii under the tree so you need to help us out by purchasing all of our extra crap with it".
 
I've read in several places that there will be a minimum of 10 per Toys R Us store on Friday morning. I'm so skipping school.

Where did you hear about the BB shipment? Also I've read in another thread not to camp out because the TRU Wii systems will not be there at the time they open. Can anyone confirm this? That will be insane because you know there's going to be campers out waiting for them to open. I will try and call my local TRU tomorrow but from what I've read even thought TRU had a press release all of the B&M stores are denying any knowledge of this.
 
Fry's forces you to buy the bundle with 5 games. I was an original 11/19 buyer and just today received the 5th game from them (with plenty of hassle). They apparently ran out of the Tony Hawk game and wouldn't exchange it for anything until today. I picked up COD3. They have right now 2 PS3's (60GB) available but only selling as a bundle with 9 games for a total of $1189.90. NO wii's available though, oddly. I love Fry's but I hate being forced to buy games I wouldn't get otherwise just to get the system. But alas I did.
 
i've been getting calls from this all night, and all of our communications from our District Manager say that when we get some in (which can be ANY time before friday) We sell them immediately. It will be a small number (my store is only listed to get 9 in). We were told Secure them and sell them once they arrive. So don't bother camping out, because they could come thursday afternoon, you'll just have to be lucky. We're also expecting to get some PS3s as well.

What time of day does TRU get shipments in and about how long after that would they go on sale?
 
actually my local TRU just got some this morning and where putting the tags out at lunch time. a couple of my friends got some Wii's and PS3s today. So you might want to check today........so i guess you could say that this is no rumor.

Just called my TRU, got some redneck lady..."What chu lookin for?" "Nintendo W--" "We dont got em." Not much help, but a good laugh. I guess I'll wait and see other people reports until I run down there.
 
Because of the other thread on the subject, just for ha ha's, I called the two TRU's most local to me: Waterbury and West Hartford, CT.

Both got Wii's in today and started selling them immediately. Apparently, that's going to be the company line...
 
I got mine at the swansea, ma store. Didn't have a sign/coupons to pickup the wii. Just waited in line in the video game section....there was a line of about 10 customers there for games/checkouts and only 1 person in front of me got 1. They had sold 6 since they got them in around 1pm. They said they had a bunch left.
